The former governor of Oyo state, Chief
Adebayo Alao-Akala has formally defected to
Labour party(LP) from the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) after several weeks of speculations,

Akala moved to Labour party alongside thousands
of his supporters yesterday evening, after a meeting
at his Bodija residence, Ibadan. He said the decision
was made based on the demand by his supporters
to quit the PDP after the injustice allegedly meted
out on them before the gubernatorial primaries in
the state.
