scan ur system 1st for malware then check if the aptio utility is amongst d programs installed on ur system..what antivirus do u use anyway?

try reinstalling it. through your recovery CD or buy a recent drivers pack cd

the ccfl or led which provides backlight is probably damaged and needs replacement. not the whole screen mind you!
