God please help this nation. What is this going on in the army?

as long as some JTF with no or little weapon can confront the insurgents, a serving military personel who have been collection salaries for years doing almost nothing has no right to complain. most of the soldiers are cowards

GOD! Why is this country going from bad to worse? The whole system in nigeria has failed. GEJ u are not a blessing rather a curse to Nigeria. I dnt blame u for all this mess but OBJ for helping u to rig election and making the president of a country that was gradually transforming into a better country. You came and destroy everything.

Its not the weapon, but the morale that boko Haramites got. They want to die and go to paradise, but Soldiers want to live.

Soldiers that betray and sabotage the fight against Boko. As Boko fights Nigerians, APC blames President Jonathan over insecurity in Nigeria. Some gullible Nigerians agree that Jonathan is a weak president. But Jonathan had since deployed the best of military personnel and ammunition Nigeria could pay for.

Worse, in 2001, Buhari a retired general and one time Head-of-State urged Muslims to ensure that sharia-criminal codes are used in all of Nigeria. Boko Haram is fighting for a sharia criminal codes-friendly country in Nigeria.

Buhari has never changed from being a Tyrant and INSENSITIVE to Nigeria's DIVERSITY. He remains the only Nigerian Muslim leader that had a Muslim as his deputy.
Stop this thing you are writing here.

Who is betraying and sabotaging the fight against Boko Haram?

Is it the soldiers who are asking for arms and supplies to fight and put their lives on the line?
Or is it the corrupt Top Officials and the government who have failed to arm these young soldiers.

The Army are ready to kill them when they know these young men lack supply and arms.

SHAME. IT SEEMS CONSCIENCE HAS RELOCATED FROM NIGERIA.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM--------I Beg to differ

Let us look at history and compare the credentials ......Part of our great country Nigeria is in a "state of war" . Over 300 people abducted and our current president and his corrupt advisers/cabinet is reading the same script. Let us not repeat old clique but do some critical thinking. Our neighbors, the community of natios are watching this event with dismay. We cannot buy weapons from countries with the best 21st century military hardware because they do have lost faith in our leaders and the direcetion of our government....Good or bad, the present govt must own all of it, as it is happening under their watch......

Over 300fellow Nigerians ( kids/students/women) abducted ....where is the condemning speech by our president and sincere engagement
Soldiers complain they get death sentence but 2billion naira missing/stolen by members and friends of the govt, they get house arrest .....
Pension fund of our parents missing /stolen......nobody in jail
Petroleum subsidy scam ....... Electricity investment scam.......
Death squads and armed robbery on the rise........
Failed educational system churning out half-baked graduates unable to compete in a global economy......
Failed health care system.....ministers & president taking pride in travelling overseas for medical check up.....SAD!
Govt choosing to count construction of streets and buildings as achivement---Is this sincere or smoke-screen
Friends of govt can raise 21billion naira in one day for voting themselves back into system that is enriching them while our lives in perils and university closed for 6mths because of pay
Now our currency is in free-fall because no foresight to diversify economy. How can you even think ahead when you have agovt full of untested leaders but even worse is secondary school/univ-dropouts .

We as fellow Nigerians must ask ourselves what type of Leader is more prepared to lead us through the challenges of today and prepare us for a better future. A leader that will spur inflow of investments and has the credibility that speaks for itself. Less MOU from investors and more actual footprints of investors and industries to employ me, you and our families . The beauty of a true democratic system is that it is open and equal opportunity for all and when it is free and fair system , it strenghtens its institutions and business flourishes. It does not get side-tracked by state of origin or religious affiliations. Infact a derailed democratic system breeds fanatism and fundamentalists because they feel disenfranchised , impoverished and see no hope in the future. So look around you what symptoms do you see in Nigeria....If you have an ailment like Nigeria( a sick patient) , wouldn't it be wise to seek another Doctor , a second opinion now ..

Yes , give JEG credit for revitalizing rail system . I wish he picked and "delivered" electricity and saw the multiplier effects of that sector for times like now....

Our president JEG has been given 6yrs and if he has not done most of it in that time , then he cannot do it in next 4yrs. The challenges of today require experience , good leadership and the credentials. The hope was that PDP will give us new experience as candidates on this presidential TICKET but rather the personal greed superceeded national interest . Nigeria needs her Mandela and MLK ....The economic inequality and social injustice, jungle justice , subversion of the rule of law has created palpable fracture of our Nigerian psyche, our unity. We need a Nigerian president to lead these rainbow of cultures and tribes not a tribalistic political system /democracy. I see all of the attributes of a better Nigeria & leadership in the present APC ticket. Dont vote the political party but vote for the candidates !!

This election is an existential decision for one Nigeria, the one that makes us all proud to be citizens. So lets us get our friends and neighbors to vote the candidates that will lead us to that pinnacle of good democratic dividends and not slowly into the abyss!!!

Some of you need to stop posting rubbish. You complain the BH menace has not come to an end but fail to understand that it is the actions or inactions of soldiers such as these that has contributed to the elongation of the insurgency. They complain they are ill equipped and that the BH boys use sophisticated weapons. But ironically,it is the same ill equipment given to the soldiers that the BH boys, who are not well trained, steal and use against the soldiers. These soldiers are incompetent, saboteurs and cowards. Their incompetence and cowardice acts compromise missions and endanger the lives of the genuine, brave and gallant Soldiers. May God bless and protect the true gallant Soldiers and may these cowards in uniforms keep being killed. That's all.
[b]In a desperate letter to President Goodluck Jonathan and Senate President David Mark leaked to SaharaReporters this past weekend, a commanding officer stationed in Nigeria's northeast details several troubling issues plaguing troops combatting Islamist terror group Boko Haram in the region. President Goodluck Jonathan

The officer stated that, corruption, maladministration, lack of resources and troops motivation has militated against a successful campaign to end Boko Haram's deadly reign of terror in the northeast.

The officer's lengthy complaint which he claims would lead to a threat to his life forewarns that if his pleas continue to be ignored by the country's leadership that both the Nigerian Army and the country will crumble under the insurgency.

"If all issues raised in this letter are not urgently addressed, the Nigerian Army will soon be history and by implication there will be no country called Nigeria," the officer gravely states. "No country without a strong army will survive."

3. The fact about NE operation is that we are poorly equipped, understaffed, high corruption from Army Headquarters down to battalion level. Commanders see it as opportunity to make money. My predecessor has complained of the same problem. Instead of ASA addressing the issue raised by him, the army authorities decided to Court Martialled him. All the units in NE are understaffed, but on payroll their strength are complete just to collect more allowances than what each unit is supposed to. The commanders see it as a personal money making venture rather than taking care of men and equipment. This ugly trend led to loss of many officers and soldiers and thereby having adverse effect on the moral (sic) of troops. Majority of soldiers in the operation area wear mufti (civil cloths) under their military uniforms in case there is an attack and the troops cannot withstand the BH, they found it easy to disguise as civilians to enable them escape. This is not the traditional practice in the NA. Though it is lack of adequate equipment and poor administration from the higher authority that resulted to this ugly trend by our troops

Truth be told; in a time of war, any soldier who disobeys a direct order is put to death. Not just in Nigeria, everywhere. It is not new. The logic is if they get away with it, others will do same. If others do same who will fight for you? You can't pick and choose which orders to follow. As long as the order is direct, ethical and moral then it is a lawful order. And in this case it is.

any soldier who runs away and allows boko haram to kill villagers should be taken to bar beach!
if they want to run, they should evacuate the villagers with them too.

Tinubu is busy supporting GMB while his tribesmen are being decimated by the Hausa Fulani controlled army
. This fellow thinks that tribalism must precede affairs of the Nigerian military. Leave Tinubu out of this he aint a military man, do you know the amount of igbos that have died from bokoharam bullets and bombs? And still you guys are shouting Gej till 2019!! And besides these soldiers stood up to question the corruption in the NA and needless death of their comrades. Something your tribesmen cannot do. And if they get shot for it, then it will be written that they died for a Noble cause.
