I think its not about skin mantainance, its about tge degree of albinism. If the person has like below 50% albinism, the person may have golden yellow skin and even dark hair to match. If its from 50% -70% the skin may be so, so but from 70%-100% na yawa o. Tgey may be so sensitive that any small exposure to direct sunlight will give them cancer.
I feel for them sha.

I love having albino friends. I like the redish nature of their skin. I've only had the opportunity to know one in person & I'm pretty sure I helped him in the best way I can. Only weird people will abstain from someone cos he is an albino.

The problem is that majority of these albinos are born into poor & unenlightened families. The ones that I know who come from privileged families don't meet this kind discrimination. Only their carriage would tell you say; "you no fit intimidate"

Even though it is obvious that most albinos are discriminated against and are made targets of ritualists in some african countries, I think it is a fallacy of hasty generalization to say everybody rejects albinos.

I know of some albinos that are very much accepted into families, social organizations and governments. As a matter of fact, the current Nigerian ambassador to south africa i think, is an albino if am not mistaken

If you are an albino person reading this, just work hard to distinguish yourself amongst your peers, love and accept yourself the way you are, and people will have no option than to love and accept you the way you are.

Also, if you are one who discriminates against albinos, stop the discrimination and show some love to your fellow human.

Their story is really emotive.

My younger sister is really fair, as in over yellow dey worry am..dah kinda fair girls cut an arm and leg to get ds days.buh unfortunately she got ds albino eye problem, coupled with a retina ish.fine we ve tried getting d best glasses and d sort buh dah doesn't completely solve it, in school shes has to grapple with copying notes even while sitting in front.its alarming how human beings cnt as little as feel empathy for someone nuh as privileged as dey r.the only thing making my sis unfazed despite how cold people hv being is her very fierce and dauntless personality, her presence alone make people flinch.
Bottom line is dah as much as we dont pray for these deformities, and most of us dont hv d patience and warmness to accomodate it, we cn as little as show empathy and refuse to let our irritation to be preceptible...thats like d only thing dah differentiates us from beasts.
