"The British left retirement age at 55years, in Britain retirement age is still 55 years. India's retirement age is 57, but Nigeria is 70" "What will your government do to bring the retirement age back to 55years so that our youths will be able to get jobs?"

Many of us anticipated for this day, some us were glued to our TV set hoping to hear what the FG has done and why they want to get elected. Rather than tell us what they had for us, these are what they told us

"Before 2011 nobody voted with voters card, people vote themselves, but in 2015 people are getting voters card"
(admiting that he rigged 2011)

"Arresting corrupt people will not stop corruption"

"Somebody says he will catch people and throw them to kikikiri"

"There is nothing like corruption any more, There is no corruption in the military"

"Nigeria ladies so you want to vote to go back to the kitchen and DIE there or you want to liberate yourself"

"Okah was procured from South Africa to assassinate me on October 1st"- Jonathan
(The same MEND that Jonathan exonerated a day after the Bombing)

"PDP is the oldest party in Nigeria, it is the only party that didn't change logo"-Adamu Muazu, PDP Chairman

"We can export rice to Washington"... PDP Anchor

"In the last four years the PDP has transformed Nigeria positively on Nigeria" "All Nigerians can attest to this"-David Mark, Senate President

"The same way that PDP has governed other states is the same way I will govern Lagos State"--- Mr. Jimi Agbaje

"Do you want to go to jail?"- Akpabio, Akwa Ibom State Governor

"Are You Ready For A Change"- Olabode George!!!

"He (Jonathan) gave us Hope" "Tomorrow if you want to become a business owner, the President will do it for you"- Joseph Yobo

"If not for Mr President we wouldn't win the Nations cup"- Joseph Yobo

Foolish OP... You didn't hear this one, from your black and white TV?

“It is either you vote for freedom or you vote otherwise. Some people want to take Nigeria backward, is that what you want? Do you want to go back to the era when there was no freedom, when your uncles were being jailed anyhow?” he asked.

“Some people believe that the only way to FIGHT CORRUPTION is to get people arrested and show them on television. So immediately I suspect your uncle, I would just pick him up and throw him into Kirikiri. Is that how to fight corruption? Is that what you want?

“They built PRISONS for you, but I built you SCHOOLS. They say they want to jail all their enemies and lock them up, but me, I have no enemies to fight because my interest is your interest and your interest my interest.”
Re: mODIFIED by Nobody: 5:55pm On Jan 08, 2015

It is easy to say that 1/4 of the budget was for the military, but how much is it really? how many equipment can it buy in the world market? I must say that even GEJ administration was very slow in equipping the army for this fight against terrorism. So if believe that the army has been neglected for so long with obsolete equipment, do you think that the Nigeria of today has the money to fully equip and train it's soldiers in 4 years to the standard it suppose to be? this things are done in phases.

I remember when the FG requested for loan of $1b to buy equipment, most people were against... will this war be fought with bare hands?

just read what you posted. So because the budget was small (relatively compared to other advanced countries) that is why uncle gej gave roughly 1/4 of the nations budget to military every year and still didn't buy anything. I am not expecting the Nigerian Army to have the most sophisticated arsenal in the world. But again please don't tell me we had nothing prior to boko haram. What do you think drove people to their early grave at Oke-Afa in Isolo during the Ikeja bomb explosion accident. Bombs went off in Ikeja and the shock-wave was so immense in isolo (about 17km away) that people were just running to everywhere. Yet people want us to believe we had nothing.

You are talking a lot of bloody nonsense. Total Bullshi.IT

We are not engaging in a comparative analysis here, there is no way we can determine the capability of Boko haram compared to Matesine- two different groups , two different eras.

A leader solves problems he faces . Gen. Buhari faced terrorism in Nigeria and eradicated it, GEJ has faced similar issues and he has failed woefully. This president has not even had the courage or decency to visit the war zone in the country.

Secondly, if we go by your illiterate analogy, can we also compare the capability of the Nigerian Army in 1982 to 2008-2015? Surely, they have far more sophisticated military ammunition and machinery? Especially if we go by the ever increasing Defense budget allocation.

The summary is that when comparing GEJ and GMB, on the one hand, we have an effective and decisive leader who faced challenges head on and on the other hand we have a lily livered waste of space who does not give a damn if Nigerian lives are lost with impunity. It is now normal to read of thousands dying on a daily basis in Nigeria and no one is being held accountable.

In saner countries, GEJ would tendered his resignation a few years ago. FACT!!

Maitatsine is not terrorist group.. it was more of a riot, you can go and read about them. Even your VP acknowledged the fact that the army is under equipped. Maitatsine fought using hatchets, bows and arrows, swords, clubs, dane-guns and daggers.

Ask the Americans what they are seeing in Afghanistan and Iraq and the rest of the places. Thanks for your contribution Mr. Intellect.

What the Prof. Osinbajo said is "The retirement age is this high because people are afraid of life outside work. There is no benefit for the elderly, no social security and pension comes late. But when we come on board we will provide social security for the elderly and ensure that payments are duly paid to pensioners. When that is provided, we will then review the retirement age".
