Grand conspiracy? It was a conspiracy, during the Civil Rights era, but it has become more of a cultural phenomenon now.
Lets not even stray off topic. 2000 Nigerians died less than a week ago and we were all busy sending marriage proposals to Buhari's daughter. Now that the west is trying to draw some attention to the massacre, we're screaming conspiracy cos of a silly typo. How else do u define foolîshness?

Most Nigerians are primitive and senseless brutes who cannot reason with their brain. Jeez! Let them continue in their backward mentality. Bunch of annoying i d i o t s! They are the first people to scream discrimination when France received attention for Hebdo's shooting and Nigeria's Boko Haram didn't have widespread report despite the high number of people killed.

Same way an american "expert" claimed over the weekend on FOX that Birmingham (in the UK) is a "Muslim-only city" where non-Muslims "don't go."

Steven Emerson told the channel that in London "Muslim religious police" beat "anyone who doesn't dress according to Muslim, religious Muslim attire".

He has now been forced to issue an apology after a lot of people called for his head.

An American terrorism commentator has apologised for describing Birmingham as a "Muslim-only city" where non-Muslims "don't go" during a Fox News interview.

Steven Emerson told the channel that in London "Muslim religious police" beat "anyone who doesn't dress according to Muslim, religious Muslim attire".

He later issued an apology for his "terrible error".

His comments have come in for ridicule, with the hashtag #FoxNewsFacts trending on Twitter.

Mr Emerson, who founded a group called The Investigative Project on Terrorism, was giving his perspective on the terror attacks in France to Fox presenter Jeanine Pirro.

'Check your facts'
Birmingham City Council said Mr Emerson's "curious" comments had no foundation, and welcomed his apology, while Birmingham Edgbaston MP Gisela Stuart described the remarks as "stupid".

http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/80202000/png/_80202073_tweet_04.png

On social media, Mr Emerson has been the butt of jokes, while he has been accused of "speaking nonsense" by people posting on his investigative website.

One Twitter user said: "As someone born and raised in Birmingham, I must admit there was a pressure to read the Kerrang."

"I was supposed to go to Birmingham last week but I forgot my passport," said another.

The Guardian's Simon Ricketts on #FoxNewsFacts
I was at home and the video of the Fox News "expert" Steve Emerson had popped up on my Twitter feed and people were rightly expressing their disbelief at what he had said.

I thought it might be funny to counteract the anger with silliness, so I wrote a tweet and stuck the hashtag (#FoxNewsFacts) on it.

**Sometimes the best response to such nonsense is satire and mockery, rather than anger and outrage.**

Immediately, that proved successful and the people of Twitter did what they do best at times - took an idea and ran with it.

You don't listen too well, do you? US media is in business to make money. They're not interested in integrity or philanthropy and only publish stories that increase their ratings. It isn't the intention of CNN to draw attention to this crisis. It's just another sensationalized story that will distract people long enough so that Nielsen Soundscan will be able to log the viewer for the ratings.

Fox News has a different audience than CNN. Their viewers are openly anti Muslim, anti immigration, anti Obama, anti black people, you name it.

He was only saying what his audience wanted to hear.

People, lets be serious for a moment here....Does it really matter if it is 'Western Nigeria' or 'Northern Nigeria'?

If an enemy enters and start attacking my compound, it does not matter the part of the compound they are attacking and neighbors and others might report point, progress or intensity of the attack differently....all that matters is that my compound is under attack.

It appear that, the leadership in Nigeria have grown a thick skin and have been desensitized by the this BH issue.

Just imagine, when a single individual lost his live to police brutality, the President of the USA had a national broadcast about it, He gave news conference and took questions...Now, BH kills 100 people in Nigeria, and the President of Nigeria did not mention it. That is very sad, that shows that some in leadership have taken BH as accepted part of the many society problem we as Nigeria must face on a day to day bases.

If the President does not raise to the occasion and drive the National discuss when 100 or 200 or 300 people are murdered in cool blood, it is sending the wrong message to the world that we do not value the weak and defenseless among us.

I live in the hood in Atlanta. Population demographic is 100% black around here. That's how I figured out that unseen forces have been trying to indoctrinate black people about Africa.

Africa is bad, but the whole continent of Africa doesn't look like a village as the media would like people to believe. They're afraid of the possibility that black Americans might want to contribute. That's why they always describe the continent as a lost cause, so that black Americans can immediately become discouraged from doing anything to help.

Who wants to help people that live in mud huts, and walk around half naked on unpaved roads? Its discouraging. They would need too much help.

Care is taken by the US media to not give out the impression that Africa is making ANY sort of progress in any area.

In these day and age of the Internet, when with the click of a button you can find out and see pictures and video of how Africa really looks like, I am not going to blame the western media for the wilful ignorance of the African Americans in regards to Africa. That is a decision they made on their own because they still feel Africans sold them into slavery. And I don't see how much they can contribute to Africa's development anyway, there is a billion blacks living in Africa for crying out loud, stop waiting for others to do for you what you can do for yourself.

Preparing the ground to assist FG justify suspension or cancellation of elections.

Just like with the Ebola hoax which I expect would be revisited on Nigeria during these elections, the truth or reality is irrelevant.

It was not an "error". They know perfectly well what they are doing. The other day they claimed 3000 people were killed in Baga by BH when the death toll was actually 150.

what we should understand is that the western media aint friends with Africa. they barely report about the good things that happen here. all there know is preach poverty, sickness, war so as to maintain funds that come into their humanitarian/aid purses. We are the ones that have to step up and prove them wrong by coming up with proves of growth on the continent. Media houses in countries like Nigeria, south Africa, Egypt, Algeria should learn to counter the western media rather than keep quite. For Nigeria,if not for boko haram,i believe we've made serious progress as a nation. Our railways are being resuscitated, the good age of farming is back, youths are being empowered. its just numerous to mention. God bless the Federal republic of Nigeria, God bless President Goodluck Jonathan
