Yes for staked cucumbers and capsicum. No for tomatoes, unless it's a hybrid variety with resistant to the diseases and pests that affects tomatoes when they are constantly watered on their leaves.

Yes for staked cucumbers and capsicum. No for tomatoes, unless it's a hybrid variety with resistant to the diseases and pests that affects tomatoes when they are constantly watered on their leaves. The drip tapes conserves water and the water gets to penetrate into the ground, making the plànts root to go further into the soil leading to strong plants and better yields. Spray tubes on the other hand uses more water and water is lost during to run off(not all the water is utilised by the plants)

Spray tubes are high quality flat hose that sprays water about 1m high on a jet distance of 3m and above, meaning one line of spray tubes can wet 2 beds at the same time! You need about 1km of spray tubes to effectively water one acre of crops. It can be used for ground covering crops such as cucumbers, onions, garlic, cabbages, lettuce, coriander, broccoli, radishes, as well as local Vegies like Ugu, water leaf, green amaranth, red amaranth, chochorus, e.t.c. The spray tubes we import can be run on over 30m lenght and work both with a small mud pump, borehole submersible pump and a 3 to 5m raised tank.
