The French Government has recognized the developmental strides President Goodluck Jonathan has made in Nigeria
asserting that the nation is very much on the rise and they would like to be part of this.
The outgoing French Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Jacques de Labriolle made this known on Sunday during an interview with
the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.
“I think that you cannot ignore Nigeria.
“In short, Nigeria is very strategic to France both on the political and diplomatic side as well as the economic side.
“The size of the country is such that it is a development basin in the making and of course, we want to be part of it.
“So for us, Nigeria is an important economic and diplomatic interlocutor,” Labriolle said.
“The assembling plant in Kaduna was being transformed to be the biggest vehicle assembling plant in Africa.
“The assembling plant in Kaduna was rather active in the 1980s and 1990s. Then, it was stopped because of political
problems.
“And now, it is starting again in a small scale but very symbolic one that since 2014, a few hundreds of Peugeot 301 has been
assembled in Kaduna again. “It used to be the biggest automobile assembly plant in Africa and it can still be in the future, if all the other problems are taken care of.
“The basic economic life has started again, which we hope will bring good results because the fundamentals are good.
‘’ The market in Nigeria is huge and the workforce potential is tremendous, I must say, very impressive,’’ he stated.

I salute him also. However, his overall performance is still a far cry from what we should have. Base on this, SAI BUHARI.

It's fast to tie a knot but takes a lot of time to untie it. The wise see the transformation and understand that ist fruits may not be reaped immediately but the blind only see darkness. The best you can do for them is, hug them and whisper to their ear that oh! Sorry dear, life is truly difficult for the blind. wink

Unfortunately; buhari/osibanjo doesn't buy into this policy at all hence, there plan and promise to lift ban on tokunbo cars if elected(God forbid)...They're quite retrogressive in reasoning like their supporters. Hence whatever the world acknowledges they oppose; and what others oppose they propose...God pass una...

Mr. Mmanu, France is in it for what is there for them.

Fact is Nigeria could have been a lot better. Anyway from May 29th, PDP will be shown what is possible. And Nigerians will understand how badly we have suffered under PDP.

Change is Coming. The best of Nigeria is ahead.
