Letter To President Jonathan

Dear President Jonathan,

I am writing you as a citizen of this great country that is deeply concerned about the lives and properties of fellow countrymen. I hope you treat this letter as that of a patriotic citizen to his President.

1. Sir, recall that after the announcement of the April 2011 Presidential election result (which you won), supporters of your major challenger, Gen Muhammadu Buhari took to the streets of some Northern towns to "protest" and there after went violent 24 hours later. In Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Niger, Sokoto, Yobe, and Zamfara states, your supporters, Christians, Southerners living in those areas and NYSC members were inhumanly attacked and killed in the most gruesome manner. Over 1000 innocent Nigerians including 10 Youth Corp Members lost their lives in the process. Governmrnt offices and Police formations were razed, properties burnt, and almost 70,000 Nigerians were displaced. Arrests was made but nobody has been reportedly brought to justice.

2. Nigeria cannot afford to witness another round of post election violence. As the C-in-C, you have the mandate of all Nigerians to protect our lives and properties. It is your responsibility to ensure that Military and the Police are not negligent of the fragile zones in the North, especially the twelve (12) aforementioned states. They should also ensure that they are alert in the Southern part of the country.

3. All the groups and individuals that vowed in the past to cause problems if the election outcomes does not favour them should be monitored and be decisively dealt with should there be any sign of them living to their threats irrespective of party/candidate affiliation.

4. Sir, the opposition All Progressive Congress on three (3) occasions vowed to institute a parallel government if "in their own judgement" the election is rigged to favor you. According to them, the courts will be ignored this time. You have the duty to monitor their activities- this you must not fail to do. Security Agencies and the Intelligence wing must not take such threat for granted.

5. Election is meant for humans and not humans for election. Your Excellency, adequate Security must be put in place prior to, during and after the March 28 Presidential Election. Our Security is a prerequisite to exercise our freedom to choose who leads us. You have the responsibility of guaranteeing it.

6. I enjoin you to admonish your wife and First Lady, Dr. Patience Jonathan on the importance of vetting words before dishing to the public. The statement credited to her as regards "stoning change chanters" is irresponsible, miscalculated, and highly condemnable for any citizen of this country. You also have the responsibility of cautioning some of your supporters that make inciteful remarks.

7. Be rest assured Sir that you have the absolute support of the good people of Nigeria to conduct and supervise a violent free election. We hope that you maximise this support so as to enable the electorates to thumbprint for the leader of their choice without threat to their lives and properties.

8. Finally, I congratulate you, the Military and the good people of Nigeria on the victory against Boko-haram terrorists.

I wish you the best Sir. May God bless you.

Letter To General Buhari
Dear General Buhari,

1. In few days time eligible voters of this great country will troop to their respective polling centers to elect the next leader- of which you are a contestant on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).

2. Recall that about four(4) years ago, specifically in April 2011, your supporters in Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Niger, Sokoto, Yobe, and Zamfara states took laws into their hands to violently protest and attack innocent Nigerians most of whom are Christians, Southerners, Corp members, Jonathan Supporters and government officials. Over 1000 Nigerians were gruesomely killed, 70,000 displaced. Properties worth millions razed and livelihood lost. Your name and praise was chanted repeatedly as they perpetrate their evil act.

3. Though you and your party(CPC) denied motivating the violence, your party in May 2011 went ahead to bail over 600 suspected perpetrators of the violence. Nobody has been brought to justice. We won't want a recurrence of such act from anyone.

4. While no public document shows that you incited your supporters, you need to know that you owe Nigeria and Nigerians the responsibility of cautioning your supporters before, during and after the election against verbal and physical violence.

5. It is public knowledge that your #Team has vowed to institute parallel government IF by their judgement the election is rigged (ignoring the court). It is unfortunate that your team has taking such callous and undemocratic position. You were an aspirant that has ran to the court on three occasion, you said you are now a democrat, isn't it hypocritical considering your stand on IGNORING a competent court? Isn't such threat a recipe for anarchy? I hope your team do not live to the threat.

6. Sir, Nigerians were glad when you signed the "No Violence" accord with Mr President. We will be grateful if you live to it. You were once the Head of State, you know that security of lives and property is more important and a prerequisite to free and fair electoral process.

7. Be rest assured Sir that Nigerians are ready to elect their leader. Irrespective of the election outcome, we all as citizens of this country will be the winner. Sir, irrespective of who get elected, Nigeria must win.

I wish you well my General. May God bless you

VOTE WISELY

Letter to Buhari from the grave of the innocents –
By Bashir Yusufu
Dear General Buhari; I would’ve addressed this letter privately to you, but in the expectation that you may not receive it, I decided to make it an Open Letter, in the hope that you would stumble on it, read it and hopefully feel some of the pains and anguish that have been my lot. Having said that, permit me therefore to proceed with the rest of this missive from the grave of innocents departed.
Last night, while I was at my modest home in Katsina, relaxing and probably half-awake, I heard the voice of my cousin who was killed in the North in April 2011 during the post-election violence instigated by your loss of the presidential election. With bloodshot sad eyes, my cousin, looking apparition-like, was wailing “Gen Buhari, why why”. My cousin’s name is (or was) Mallam Yusuf Danfulani, a bright young lad originally from Katsina State, who was slaughtered in cold blood and set on fire by youths chanting “Sai Buhari”, like they are again now chanting in 2015.
Gen Buhari, in case you have forgotten, Yusuf was slaughtered in your name even though he never did any wrong to you, and even voted for you against Dr Jonathan. He lost his life just because the murderers you encouraged by your many hate speeches believed Yusuf to be from middle belt or southern Nigeria, most probably because of his bulky looks and brave, patriotic attempts to prevent the killing of an innocent Youth Corper, Ukeoma Ikechukwu. Even though he cried out in Hausa and Fulfulde, he was still not believed by those you (Buhari) managed to brainwash to see all non-Fulani Nigerians as conspiring to vote against you. In this very case, Yusuf voted for you but his ‘Sai Buhari’ killers never believed he did. Like you, Gen Buhari, the mob was baying for the blood of innocents.
If not for Yusuf’s best friend who was with him and was himself nearly killed, we would not have recognized his charred body that was burnt beyond recognition. And thanks to the same friend for recounting to us the little he could make out at the last moments of Yusuf’s life, the agony he passed through and the most important words he uttered before he gave up. It is the same words I heard him utter last night from the grave: ‘Gen Buhari, why why’. Yet, to this day, you (Buhari) have not cared to apologize or show any remorse, but you instead offered lame excuses for the bloodletting you had instigated, and still instigate. I now ask you this: Gen Buhari, must you always shade blood, like you started doing from 1983, to rule Nigeria? Do you recall how you killed Brigadier Bako in 1983 just so you could take power by force from Shehu Shagari?
General Buhari, Ukeoma Ikechukwu himself was reported missing that same day Yusuf was murdered by your supporters, and finally confirmed dead the following day when his charred remains was discovered in a hooded area. Apparently, your supporters had dragged him out of the open and tortured him before finally snuffing life out of him. Like my cousin, Yusuf, Ukeoma was very young and an innocent. Unlike Dr. Jonathan, they were not contesting against you. Yet, when they were killed, part of Nigeria was killed with them; the same Nigeria that you are now angrily campaigning to rule.
Yusuf and Ukeoma were not alone. Six other innocent Youth Corpers were also murdered in Bauchi, where you Buhari, polled 1,315,209 votes (almost 82 per cent), defeating Dr Jonathan who scored 258,404 votes and did not even hit the 25 per cent mark. The corps members were reportedly chased to a police station where they sought refuge. But the rioters, who were raving mad with bloodlust and chanting “Sai Buhari”, overran the station and murdered the young Nigerians in cold blood. So, Gen Buhari, as you can see from the Bauchi result and it’s aftermath, your supporters even shade blood when you win; still you have no qualms. Today, you are prancing around the nation, arrogant and angry as usual, behaving like you have already won the election; and thus setting up another bloodletting if you are not announced winner.
The story of Obinna Okpokiri is as heart-wrenching as Yusuf’s. The 27-year-old was butchered and burnt to ashes, in the service of his fatherland. Okpokiri’s own circumstances were as gruesome as they could be. He had run to the Corpers’ Lodge as the rampaging ‘Sai Buhari’ rioters targeted Youth Corper polling officers recruited by INEC for the election. As painful death loomed, the young Nigerians contemplated fleeing to the barracks. But they were not lucky enough. Your ‘Sai Buhari’ supporters caught up with them, slaughtered and set them on fire. Like Yusuf, these innocents are human beings and future leaders on the last laps of fulfilling their national duty before moving on to a bright future. But it was not to be because, in your name, Gen Buhari, they were slaughtered, sliced, soaked in petrol and scorched. Reduced to ashes in minutes and in the most callous fashion by those that are not better citizens or humans than them.
General Buhari, while you are now busy inciting another violence, please bear in mind that in 2011, your supporters turned violent in whole 12 northern states as they burned the homes, vehicles, and properties of innocent Nigerians, some of whom are also Muslims and Northerners like you and my cousin Yusuf. Your ‘Sai Buhari’ supporters also targeted and killed Christians and members of southern Nigerian ethnic groups, who were seen as supporting the PDP, and they burnt churches across the north. One particular attack in Bauchi stood out as most heart-breaking. According to Human Rights Watch, on April 17 in Giade, a rural town in northern Bauchi, ‘Sai Buhari’ mobs attacked youth corps members in the town. The Corpers, who were mostly from Yoruba, ran to the local police station to seek refuge, but the mobs stormed the police station. The mob killed the police officer on duty and burned down the police station. They raped two of the female youth corps members and then hacked them to death with machetes, along with five male youth corps members. In total, rioters killed ten youth corps members in that town alone.
A lecturer at the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, Kaduna State, described to Human Rights Watch how a mob of Muslims chanting “Change, Sai Buhari” attacked and killed several Christian students, a Christian lecturer and four Muslim students suspected of being PDP sympathizers on April 17: He said “Between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., they entered the school chanting slogans and shouting: “Where are the Christians and Muslims that supported the ruling party?” They had painted their faces black and were shouting that they needed “change”, the Congress for Progressive Change campaign slogan. The mob had all sorts of weapons – machetes, sticks, and clubs. They started breaking the glass on the buildings. The students ran away but the mob pursued them into the staff quarters and they had nowhere to go. The mob beat them to death. The lecturer they killed was Yoruba“.
Finally, Gen Buhari, let me end this letter by asking you this question: When are you going to apologize to me, to Yusuf’s aged parents, to Ukeoma’s parents, to parents of all innocents murdered by your brainwashed supporters, to Nigeria and to mankind? And here is Yusuf again, asking you from the grave: “Gen Buhari, why why”.
Bashir Yusufu.

Don't worry, when Buhari becomes the president, you won't have to rig any election nor use any youth to rig, nor fail to protect those that are working in all honesty for Nigeria, nor need to blame a private citizen for the death of fellow Nigerians when we have a president who is the chief security officer with the power to direct security in the whole of Nigeria.

With Buhari, all perpetuators of violence would be rounded up, probed and jail accordingly and you won't need epistle called letters from birds that sing for money.

Its simple.. Under Buhari, there won't be blame game.

Exactly, with Buhari in power, using youth to rig wouldn't be an issue again. People rig when they know their performance is not enough to win them election.

You are still singing.. Whether they rigged or not can't be ruled out.

Having said that, the person who sent them to rig was so selfish and wicked that he didn't provide security for them. Isn't that the real wicked person?

The real devil is the person who sent other people's children to do dirty job for him without providing them with security and a way out.

Now that is the real wicked person..

Go swallow some ice blocks.

No time for unnecessary sentiments and blame game here..

More than 1000 people died but only the 10 youth corpers are being sung, what about the 990 people? Both those who voted for GEJ and BUHARI died.

Who was suppose to protect them all or at least try not to create an environment of tension which the rigging caused?

Boko haram kills by mentioning Allah, does that make Allah the one who sent them?

You are the wicked one here..

Port Harcourt your home state is witnessing pre-election violence and opposition members are being killed by the ruling party members which you and your principal belong to. Have u written letters to your principal on this?

Aren't you a hypocrite?

Your principal paid militant (opc) to harass Lagosians and destroy oppostion posters in the name of protest while using military and police to secure them. Isn't that a more devilish act? Have you written letter to that effect?

Yet you are expecting a private citizen stop violence when he doesn't control the security forces. You are wicked and a devil!

Hypocrites like you need an encounter from the God of the old testament.

Write a letter to Jonathan and tell him to make sure lives and properties are protected come this election, no waiting for 6 years to win election!
