In January this year ISWAP used 2 more identical SVBIEDs against the Nigerian Army near Baga, though one was disabled. The shift from armour plate windshields to armoured glass makes the SVBIED appear more like a civilian vehicle. Worrying trend.

ISWAP up-armoured 4x4 SVBIED used against Nigerian Army position near Alagarno, Lake Chad. More evidence ISWAP are manufacturing standardised SVBIEDs w/ transplanted armour from seized Otokar Cobra APCs (see: door & windshield)

Another captured SVBIED improvised vehicle from BHT attack on Goniri village, Yobe state.
Combination of Panhard VBL Scout car (front) and unidentified vehicle combination (rear).

To me it looks like an hot pursuit when they where retreating, probably a collision or a somersault happened when they met stiff resistance.

please I want to ask something.
What happens to the ammunition taken from these terrorists and bandits?

Can they be used by soldiers in the battlefront?

What if a soldier runs out of armour and an enemy and

Armour is lying near him,can be be able to use the enemy amunition for that point in time?

Is there any rule or ethics resisting a soldier from using enemy armour?

Of course this is about surviving and repelling enemies attack, use anything available to you. The most important thing is that the enemy does not overrun your base.
But after battles, cache of weapons captured must be assembled and recorded for proper documentation and for forensic investigation must be transfered to the theatre command HQ.
Some are repaired, documented and injected into the theatre, especially the AAG and Gun trucks.
Some unserviceable weapons are destroyed from getting into the wrong hands especially assault riffles. I remember sometimes about 2-3 years ago some soldiers returning from the north east where caught with AK riffles, investigation reveals that they where weapons captured from BHT that where not remitted.

So enemies weapon or Armor can be used to defend ones life or base but must be returned for proper documentation.

Bad day for Boko Haram/ ISWAP grin

Yobe seems to be a death zone for the terrorists. If I recall correctly there was a similar incident in Yobe some months ago where the attack was decimated.

Kudos again to NA.

They're not battling terrorism on a large scale like Nigeria, Chad and Egypt in North Africa. You see most of these weapon cache are discovered along border line territories. These terrorist hide there weapon cache in small cells where they can come pick it up anytime they need them. The way terrorist operates in the north Africa is defferent from West and central African countries.
They operate in small unit and hit there target and blend in back to the society unlike here where they operate in large numbers or groups.

A stray bullet from a clash between soldiers and police killed a 7-year-old girl, Janada Yamta.

She was asleep in her Maiduguri home when her parents heard her scream. She was rushed to the hospital but died on the way from the bullet wound.

It was investigated and it's found there had been a clash between some army personnel and men of the CTU.

The argument started when army officers on mufti tried entering a trailer park to go drinking but stopped by the police stationed at the gate of the trailer park on the night of Sunday, 23rd June.

In the clash, shots were fired which left a police officer, Sergeant Usman dead and two orders badly injured.

According to an eyewitness, the army officers were manhandled badly by the police officers even after identifying themselves.
