The cat is on flat horizontal ground ,the stair is only a design on the floor.

Place your phone at 180 degrees on your palm and you will see that neither of the cat's head nor tail is slanting, which proves that it is neither going up nor down

People have eyes yet cannot see. the light solves the issue here. The light path prrsents the cat as walkiny down the stairs. It just.like trying to take an underground route n d light indeed kuet b above u sinc u sre coming from d surface

it can be seen either way, don't be too assertive.

I chose Down. If you take a look at the design of the stair case you will that the cat is climbing down.
My opinion anyway.

It's definitely going down. Check the staircase slabs in the picture, you'll see that it is from top down. Engineers would agree with me on this one.

No its going up, check the side of the staircase in that picture and the one you have at home

using judgement, based on Engineering, the cat is going down and the picture was also taken facing the cat. Reasons, If u look at the step u would see those little protrusion of like 2inches at the beginning of the step or u can say top of the steps. They can only be seen when u are ascending. And the cat is facing the postion which u can't see it from. Meaning it is descending.

The cat is coming down, pls.

The cat is climbing up.

PROOF:
You don't need to be an engineer to understand how a staircase is built:

The tread of the stairway is usually protruded outward beyond the vertical riser by 1 inch or treated specially against chipping off as it is here.

Also, the wall tile is usually placed vertically at the tip of the tread and the cat is facing it.

Look closely at the cat's forelimb, it is folded and raised, if it was coming down it would be stretched and dropped.

Finally, the angle between the landing and the flight that appeared on the picture is less than 180 degrees. Ideally, it should be more if it was coming down.

Its going down. You can know this from the design of the edge of the stairs.

Judging by the slabs on stairs (which are usually, if not most definitely, installed flat on the surface) the picture was taking from down not up, therefore; the pussyCat lipsrsealed is coming down.

Tricky though! cheesy
Re: Is This Cat Going Up Or Down? by TopWinner(m): 9:32am On Apr 09, 2015
It depends on your reference point tho.
If that cat takes another step downwards, it trips and falls. - see the shadow of it's right foot and the prospective land it takes when it stands.

So, I choose UPundecided

I disagree, going by the design, it's going down.

You tight bro. No builder would put a cliff on the steps of a stairs. It could cause stumbling. So it's going down. Are u an architect or a builder?
I'm none of those .yet .but I have ambition to be a civil engineer.

Shut up.. Einstein is nt jst a physicist.. He is also a philosopher.. Btw, m a physicist nd I understand what I wrote wella.. STHU

Please don't quote the great Einstein when you clearly don't understand physics in this context grin

This picture has nothing to do with reference frame and everything to do with common sense! UP is...the wrong answer.

u have absolutely no idea of what ua saying. And yes u don't need to be an engineer to know how a staircase is built. That picture is based on logical reasoning .so study the pic again and be logical about ur conclusion.
