The question is very simple if you look @the edge of the staircase you will see one little slab there....that what indicate that the car is going down.....ask some Architect or Building Contractor.

The Cat is going down. If you take a good look at the steps. See where the steps meet the wall and you might see what some call the "step marks". It is usually painted over in most buildings so some may never have seen it. The "step marks" are in descending order which means the cat is going down. The cat would need to be 'flying' if it were going up

the cat is definitely coming up if u look at the height of the thread and riser, the body dynamics of the cat I.e where is weight lies. I don't believe this exactly defines relativity as Einstein informs us.
