Madam you are really taking this your lessons seriously o. Your discription is now getting better, same with your tense. You know in written story, the choice of words matters a lot. I have been so busy thats why i dont read and comment regularly, dont think i am just avoiding. Many things de to settle. Tha rabe of a guy, na that belle fit am. I just wished i for see him face make i see how disturbed it would look like. Lol The doctor part was really hilarious, the hausa was just the way i love it. (why not try writting hausa novel some day, it would be fun to read) Na gan ana raba kiss, wai ina nawa |

“Is true, if actually you take me as your own daughter you wouldn‘t be saying such thing“She said “There you go again, well you a small child......“ “No, no, no i have told to stop calling me a small child i don‘t like it“She pouted her lips. “Hahaha, but ofcourse you are a small child“Larai said with a mischeiveous smile. “No mama i‘m not, i‘ll be fifteen next month“She replied “Fifteen only, i thought you will be thirty come next month“Larai said, enjoying the argument. “I guess i‘ll be going“She said, trying to stand up but Larai held her back. “Haba, yar mama(mama‘s child) i was just joking. I‘m sorry if i got you angry“Larai begged. “I know you are not sorry, you will repeat it again“She said, evidently aware of her pretence. “No i‘ll not, from now henceforth you are a big girl, are okay by that?“ Larai said “Yes!“She replied with a happy tone. “I have to go now“ She stood up and picked her hijjab and wore it. “Hmmm, okay then my regards to everyone and please don‘t forget what i told you, be a good girl okay?“ Larai adviced. “I will try my best, i promise to make you proud insha Allah(by God‘s grace). “Thank you my dear may Allah bless you“ “Amin mama, sa an jima“ she bade her goodbye and went back home. ********************************** “ Hmmm, Umma kenan, you are not looking bad“ Rabe said “Nagode“ She replied shyly. She stole a glance at him, he is a huge black and short man with beefy arms and a short neck like that of a pig. His bears could be refer to as a forest. When he smile his brown set of teeth would come in view, a thirty years old man. With pot belly. “I hope, you are getting ready for our marriage?“ He asked, She nodded, “incase if you need anything don‘t hesitate to tell me“ “Mhmm“ She answered. “Kin san ni dan kasuwa ne, ina da shagon kayan sawa na mata irin su leshi, atamfa, shadda da dai sauran su“ He smiled, obviously pleased with himself. “Incase you need anything before i come visiting you are free to meet my brother Usman, when i come i‘ll settle him. You know i can‘t be coming to see you everyday because of the distance i stayed in Niger state which is faraway to here(Mubi in Adamawa) so i decided to make it once a week, i hope is okay by you?“ He asked her. “mhmm“ She replied. “Do you have anything to tell me?“ He asked with a concerned look “No“ She answered “Okay then, i‘ll be going back till next week“ He said adjusting his babar riga. And don‘t forget to extend my greetings to your parent. “Okay i‘ll do that bye“ She said standing up to enter inside as they were outside their house all this while. “Take this with you“ He said handing a black cellophane bag to her. “No, thank you“She said and hurriedly entered inside the house. He shook his head and shrugged his enormous shoulders, just then he saw a boy passing by and then he called his attention. “Young man, please take this inside this house for, tell hajiya that alhaji Rabe sent it to Umma“ He handed the bag to the boy and waited. “Tau“ The boy replied and collected the bag from his hand. He was still standing at the same spot waiting for the arrival of the boy. “Tace wai angode“ Trans: “She said i should thank you“ The boy reported. “That‘s very good, thank you my boy“ Rabe replied but much to his surprise the boy refused to go, instead he kept scratching his head and shifting nervously from one leg to the other. “Young man, what is the matter?“ Rabe asked. “ You didn‘t settle me“ The boy replied with a frown. “Kai! You this children of nowadays, you are so spoiled mtcheeeeew take and go away“ He handed a hundred naira note to him. The boy snatched it and ran as fast as his feet could take him. ********************************** “Ayyiriri!!! You are now Rabe‘s wife“, the women chanted. “Umma, amaryar Rabe Allah baku zaman lafiya Ayyiriri!“ . Trans:“Umma, Rabe‘s wife happy married life, Ayyiriri!“ Her friends chanted also. |

After all the crowd have dispersed, leaving behind; Umma, her mother and her aunt. “Uhm-uhm“Binta cleared her throat, “Finally you are now a married woman, a wife to Rabe. In the next few hours you will be taken to your new home, i‘ll like to let you know you are no longer a child obey you husband and it shall be well with you. On no account should he report you to us, our responsibilties lies on your shoulders. Your husband is rich and he is generous so don‘t let the opportunity that God gave you to wipe away poverty in this family let you by“. She adviced “I don‘t have much to say, i pray that your married life shall be blissful and please don‘t forget what i told you earlier on, here is a special prayer book i bought for you“ Larai said and hand over the book to her. The ladies came in to take her to her father‘s place for his own piece of advice. “You people should leave me, i‘m not going anywhere“ She said crying seriously and holdind her aunt tightly. “Mama tell them to go and leave us alone, i‘m not going anywhere“. They kept strugling. Larai couldn‘t doing anything because she too was crying. After much struggling her mother stood up and yanked her away and handed her over to them. They started offloading her boxes, and some of the things she was given by her parents. They took them in and arranged them accordingly.
