If he sincerely asks for God's forgiveness of his sins, surely God will forgive him but that will not stop the happening of the repercussion of such action now or in the future, before or after his death.

Remember the fornication committed by David, the King.

After the fornication, God sent a prophet to him to lay curses upon him for such act. After the prophet had gone, David fell on the floor, pleaded for God's mercy and forgiveness and still his son died and all the prophecies of anger from God upon him came to pass even when he was alive. You can choose to sin but you cannot choose the consequence of such sin even if you repent from the sin. The consequence is the repercussion in this case.

Having holy communion and after that committing sin is like you willingly ask for yoke or burden of curses upon yourself.

There are certain things we do that we think there is no consequence once we ask for God's forgiveness.

This is what we call GENERATIONAL CURSES OR SINS which are tormenting many out there without knowing its source.
