PAGAN9JA: I was talking about ANY kind of FAITH in a deity (any deity). Therefore it cannot be proven nor indeed disproven. Unlike a silly belief in magic/juju which IS testable and fails thus proving it does not exist! Hope this is not too complicated for you! |

CheeNayNay: Not telling anyone about their religion mere commenting that Juju/Magic and rubbish like that does NOT EXIST. ALL educated people know that the world over. If Nigeria is to progress then she must rid herself of these ignorant superstitions. Tradition is OK and ceremonies for entertainment and tourists but to believe in Magic? |

KoloOyinbo:if people can believe that a man was born of a virgin, died and resurrected after some days,he walked on water, ascended to the sky and its termed logical or 'civilised' ,why should the beliefs of others be termed 'superstitious'??arent they all 'myths/magic' with no scientific proof?? 1 Like |

Re: Photo: Meet The Mami Water People From Osun Oshogbo by KoloOyinbo(m): 10:45am On Apr 19, 2015 |
CheeNayNay: No proof. No dis-proof hence we call it FAITH. As for magic and JUJU (same thing to any intelligent person) No proof LOT OF DIS-PROOF! While people like you delude yourselves with this nonsense your development will be held back by your inability to face reality. |
Re: Photo: Meet The Mami Water People From Osun Oshogbo by macof(m): 4:51pm On Apr 19, 2015 |
KoloOyinbo: You fool, juju and magic aren't the same thing We know both and call them different things here. Juju can be scrutinised- many have done that and come with good report, many have witnessed it first hand But magic is a mere human trick for entertainment You don't know what juju is. you only know magic 3 Likes |

KoloOyinbo: funny how this ode keeps talking about what he knows nothing about..intelligent people don't talk in matters they have no knowledge of. You are so lousy and foolish A fool like you don't know what being intelligent is you should rather ask people who know about the topic to coach you on it's principles and descriptions, rather than open ur gutter to say thrash What disproof do you have to juju? There's a whole bunch of disproof to your stuupid dogmas of a religion and your so called miracles Only a bigot would appreciate ridiculous tales like we have in Christianity And come attacking African beliefs and practices You dumb Irish who still hunt witches and rape little children 2 Likes |
Re: Photo: Meet The Mami Water People From Osun Oshogbo by Nobody: 5:05pm On Apr 19, 2015 |
KoloOyinbo:All religions work on the principle of faith. majority of the chinese are atheist or buddist yet their nation is still amongst the most developed in the world. christainity is the problem of africa cos it has blinded most africans to believing a mythical being(jesus)would come down and help them solve their problems, hence they pray consistently but dont act. the ancient egyptians believed and worship their gods i.e ausar, maat etc they were NEVER christians yet they gave the world civilization and built great empires. christianity helped destroy africa, majority of africans are christains yet we're still in dis same miserable conditions.africa was greater in precolonial times 1 Like |
Re: Photo: Meet The Mami Water People From Osun Oshogbo by KoloOyinbo(m): 6:27pm On Apr 19, 2015 |
CheeNayNay: If you think clearly enough you will discern the difference between FAITH as applied to ANY religion (even African Traditional as a religion) and MAGIC/JUJU which can be tested and fails miserably. On the quite separate idea of Christianity holding back Africa (clearly nonsense) it was partly colonialism irrespective of whatever religion accompanied it. The idea of Magic/Juju holds Africa back. Anyone believing such rubbish cannot be taken seriously by any educated person. Do you go to a medical doctor or witch doctor if your child is ill? Can juju eradicate Polio? etc etc. Africa is actually progressing except in the minds of the lowest strata who are being left behind partly due to lack of opportunity. They take their resentment for this out on the 'west' associated in their minds with civilized values and culture and turn instead to a failed and worthless belief in juju/magic. They can even convince themselves it exists! Hence threads like a bird falling down and turning to a woman etc etc The difference between FAITH and SUPERSTITION is really very clear (think about what cannot be proven either way as opposed to that which is testable, has been tested and failed miserably) but for some reason the armchair philosophers here seen to find the simple premise beyond them. (Don't know why?) |
Re: Photo: Meet The Mami Water People From Osun Oshogbo by KoloOyinbo(m): 6:30pm On Apr 19, 2015 |
macof: Hunt witches - why waste time hunting what clearly does not exist? People who believe in juju/magic have nothing to teach anyone. They just need to go back to school! I don't attack African religion only the stupid, savage and ignorant belief in juju/magic. Your displays of crass ignorance are really quite amusing! |
Re: Photo: Meet The Mami Water People From Osun Oshogbo by KoloOyinbo(m): 6:38pm On Apr 19, 2015 |
macof: To reiterate, in an EVEN SIMPLER manner to assist your limited understanding - I deliberately use the term Magic to illustrate how ridiculous juju really is. Juju can and has been scrutinised. It has FAILED miserably every test. Birds falling from skies and turning into old women, BULLET PROOF CHARMS, money charms, etc ad nausiam. All your tantrums and screaming at me will not make it work at all nor will it make any civilized and educated person ever believe such primitive rubbish! You may fool those who have been unfortunately denied the benefit of a proper education but do you SERIOUS fell that you can fool educated people who have travelled the world? There is little hope for you if so! |
