Frankly, I think the APC should be focused on delivering on it's campaign promises to nigerians rather respond to every comment made by government. Expectations of nigerians are indeed very high. Lai Mohammed should be concious that he now belong to the ruling party and should stop acting as if he's in opposition. Having said that, President Jonathan is playing to the gallery by ignorantly expressing fears "persecution" in the public. That indicates he is not clean. I encourage the incoming government to look into the relevant activities of the outgoing government where necessary in order to perform better. For example, the issue of missing $20 billion should be revisited. That money can do a lot in view of the dwindling economic fortunes of the country. Also, the privatisation of PHCN that has brought higher electricity bills and prolonged darkness instead of improved power supply should be examined

I think it's not out of place for any government to ask questions on anything, so long it's for the betterment of the entire nation.

Why using the word "persecute" if not for looking for public sympathy? Unfortunately, Nigerians are wiser and can now see through the veil of deception the president usually puts on to disguise his incompetence at managing the economy.

If Buhari must probe those who have corruptly enriched themselves under your leadership, so be it. Heaven will not fall.

Yeah, it is persecution in Jonathanians world because according to their gospel, all must be probed or no one is probed. And the cycle continues till Nigeria is grounded.

My good man, there is a difference between "persecute" and "prosecute"......

Persecute - to pursue with harassing or oppressive treatment, especially because of religious or political beliefs, ethnic or racial origin, gender identity, or sexual orientation..

Prosecute - to institute legal proceedings against (a person) or to seek to enforce or obtain by legal process.or to conduct criminal proceedings in court against.

APC will not persecute the outgoing government but will prosecute anyone that they prove has stolen funds....
