The rest of the SS actors are TONTO, OBOT ETUK, SHAN GEORGE, KATE HENSHAW, SUSAN PATRICK, DARKORE EGBUSON ETC. In the same vein,we have numerous Yoruba and Northern actors in Nollywood who don't even what to act in yoruba movies. Somebody like OLU JACOBS will rather act the role of Igwe or Eze. Omotola will rather act like Chinwe instead of Bisi. Who stopped you from joining nollywood or who stopped others from joining nollywood? If you can't compete with them just shut your trap. The history of nollywood is always associated with Igbos and the same igbos have given Ghanians,Kenyans, Gambians, other Nigerians the platform to showcase their skills. No doubt non igbos have a lot of contribution but otherside Nigeria, nollywood is associated with Igbo culture or people of igbo descent! The first words all Africans will use for Nigerians are Igweeee or Chinekeeee! All copied from nollywood movies. Ramsey Nouah and Omotola achieved popularity from Igbo culture English language movies. Faliure in keeping up with igbo people resulted in Africa magic Hausa and Yoruba. Some people questioned the relevance of Africa mag Igbo snice Nollywood is already associated with Igbo language and Culture. The new cinema movies from Kunle is just a recent trend in Nigeria, yet Igbos have to be featured in these movies. Apaye, a Niger Delta movie had to feature popular Igbo actors to sell. Last year, a Yoruba movie maker had to drag Mike Ezuruonye(Igbo) and Desmond Elliot(half Igbo) into a yoruba movie. Igbos have achieved prominence and popularity through nollywood,no need reemphasizing it. By now,you should know how Igbos are fiercely competitive even amongst people from the same family. If you can't beat them, you join them and stop ranting rubbish! 2 Likes |
