Look, most people are misunderstanding the law.

Prior to the law's passage.....molesting a child under the age of 18 would get you five years in jail.

What the law has done is to change the punishment to life imprisonment if the underage child is under 11 years old.

If the child is between 12-17 years of age....it is still five years in jail.

Either way....an offender gets convicted.

I am sad that most Nigerians do not try to read and understand before talking. Nigeria is really in trouble.
