This is a good development, ride on ma! His impeachment will serve as a deterrent to other Governors. We need more Nigerians like you. |

i cant imagine how a state cant pay workers for 11 months, but have been receiving allocation every month.. and still owing huge debt that it no longer credit worthy? How do these people survive with wives and children?..The governor still have the conscience to be parading himself, the honorable thing is to resign, because it shows he running a failed state..The legislators still get their pay, so that is why they will not impeach the governor 2 Likes |

Shine1177: Aregbe should apologize to the good people of osun state. As for the patriotic female judge, if a strand of hair from her is injured we shall WAR WAR WAR. The gods will fight in our side. |

The so call MR HE GOAT should investigated and if found wanting should be impeached without delay. Most time this guy Aregbe or whatever they call him, dressed more like an area boy than a Governor. He seems to be insensitive to his peoples plight. |

In the light of the Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers it should be considered inexpedient for a serving Judge to publicly petition for the impeachment of a sitting Governor. See relevant portions of The Code below- Federal Republic of Nigeria Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers Rule 2.( 8. " A Judicial Officer should abstain from comment about a pending or impending proceeding in any court in this country, and should require similar abstention on the part of court personnel under his direction and control. This provision does not prohibit a Judicial Officer from making statements in the course of his official duties or from explaining for public or private information the procedure of the court provided such statements are not prejudicial to the integrity of the Judiciary and the administration of justice." Rule 3B(ii) B(ii) -" Freedom of expression and association In accordance with the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution, a Judicial Officer is like other citizens entitled to freedom of expression, belief, association and assembly, Provided, however, that in exercising such rights, he shall always conduct himself in such a manner as to preserve the dignity of his office and the impartiality and independence of the judiciary." The statement "judiciary is the last hope of the common man" is best understood to mean just that when laid down procedure is followed and the matter pled before The Judex who is blind to sentiments and thus can be trusted to do justice between parties as he presides from the high pedestal - The Bench. To make statements like this could bring a Judge into the ring where litigants slug it out and The Judiciary thus open to disrepute. 1 Like 1 Share |

If this joke of a gov had started planting Cocoa or any other viable product from the first day of his tenure, he probably would have been using the proceeds from the sales of the product to pacify the workers in Osun, but he decided to feed people, change sch uniforms and build a gigantic drum etc for his self ego. He deserves to be impeached. He is now waiting for money from the ND to settle worker. He has not gotten the Memo that our oil is being rejected by major buyers. Na india we dey sell to now, soon they would also find an alternative. 1 Like |

Built2last: Although am from Osun, and sympathetic to the APC cause,.....but I am still of the opinion that Gov. Rauf has failed us in big way, esp with respect to the unpaid salary debacle. The least I expect from a progressive governor is for Rauf to show the world proof that he himself, his cabinet, and the Osun state House of Assembly haven't earned a dime from the state's coffers in the last 8-9 months. Anything short of this action is simply unacceptable........ |

MosakuAW:Yes he is not the only Governor but their workers are having it harder than states like imo, whom Rochas is owing probably more than 7 months. While imo workers may have something to fall back even after 12 months and still live big, osun workers do not generally have any other source of income nor do they engage in any other biz to make the ends meet. I think their situation is worst than others. Let Aregbe resign peaceful instead of allow them to remove him by impeachment 1 Like |

Salaam admitted that the state had a problem paying its workers but urged members of the opposition and critics of the Aregbesola administration to stop blackmailing the governor. What a speaker |

Edwardhead:You miss entirely, dont go back to sleep in the day time. If Aregbe/deputy is impeached, the speaker will certainly be the next acting governor. Who doesnt want to add such to his CV. Infact, i suspect the speaker and co behind this move. Some of you guys are small boy in politics. 1 Like |
