Na u dey fall my hand. Buhari may have held power a long time ago, the fact remains that he has the experience to run government of today. Refuting it is like saying that he cannot proffer solution to Boko Haram of today like he did on Maitatsine and the Chadian rebels in the 1980's. Buhari is far better than you and I that have not been involved in security matters.

On Maitasine...it occupied solely a hamlet not up to a village... and they fought with bows and cutlass while military had guns...And you're comparing them to boko haram gringringrin

Though Buhari left the Nigerian Army in 1983, he has a better knowledge in proffering solution to Boko Haram insurgency than those of us that are not security experts.

Buhari was in the system while it was analogue but now it is all digital... how can an analogue system operate safely and better in a digital system...How is he an expert?...What has he done differently from Jonathan in terms of boko haram as he's an expert according to you?...

Unfortunately, Tinubu that masterminded his victory has been turned to a pariah!

Back to the topic,
If he dare release that list before the settling of the chaos in his home base.
His case will be worse than that of Jonathan.

spot-on!

The line in bold was the point I made this morning to passingshot.

When I say Tinubu should be thanked, I don't mean "thank" in literal sense. I mean, he should be given an UN-restricted access to pmb or, be made the adviser to pmb on political matter.

if you did that then thats commendable..we need to condemn our people when they go wrong...its going to be for our own good...because it seems they are all mad..till this moment I have not forgiven GEJ for his sluggish and docile attitude..it has cost the niger delta and nigeria in extension a lot...

I Av never directly benefitted anything from past govt and I don't expect such from this govt so why should it be difficult for me to criticise them if need be?
I still feel it's just too early. Some may disagree but it moves me not. Like I said, i am keenly observing things.

There is no gainsaying the fact that I am an ardent believer and supporter of the president. I am still proud in the little ways I contributed to his victory at the last presidential poll. Not only that I campaigned for his emergence online and offline, I also contributed financially to the course.

As I have said on many occasions in the past, it will be silly for me to want to stick out my neck to defend politicians when they’re clearly in the wrong and especially when I am not in any way related to any of them. PMB has clearly erred in this prolonged delay to name his cabinet! I once did a thread to support him when he was criticized just after twelve days in office https://www.nairaland.com/2371788/efforts-signs-president-buhari-twelve but I have no genuine reasons to continue to hold on to that position after another three weeks.

At first, I accepted that GEJ’s deliberate delay in handing over of hand-over notes of MDAs to the president was responsible for the delay in appointing his ministers BUT can the same excuse/reason still be valid for the continued stalling of this very important action more than a month after receiving the documents?

I also accepted that not knowing who the NASS leaders were going to be was partly responsible for not naming a COS and SGF but again, it’s already more than three weeks since we’ve known our Senate President and HOR Speaker! Besides, appointment of these two very important personnel (SGF & COS) have NOTHING to do with the purported “merging of some MDAs” the president is believed to be working on.

Not having a COS and an SGF must surely be impacting negatively on governance. Not acting very fast and decisively to name key advisers and some ministers (Finance, Works, Power/Energy, etc.) is surely making the president look confused and indecisive! It is irritating and even frustrating to read that we may not have ministers until late August or early September. Though I don’t want to believe this news but if it is what PMB is planning, it is in his interest to drop toying with that idea. Such action/plan is not only naïve, clueless and irritating but also very dangerous and unexplainable!

Does the president not need some of these ministers and other political appointees to drive through his policies? Or does he think he and a few clique of Fashola, Ogbonnaya Onu, Amaechi, etc (in unofficial capacities at that) can resolve all the myriad challenges in all ministries? Can the Permanent Secretaries breathe the type of fresh life needed in their ministry to it? Nigeria deserves far better than this from PMB/APC and their team.

Make no mistakes about it, sending GEJ and his team packing and the enthronement of Muhammadu Buhari as our president was the best decision Nigerians took in the last general election. But having said this, I have to add that the president has somewhat failed in the areas mentioned. PMB needs to make us continue to believe in him as the leader Nigeria needs at this critical time of our nation’s life.

N all the demerits u tagged gej wif is what ur baba is considering, total removal of subsidy, privatisation of refineries, even collaborating wif cameroun, niger, chad n benin to fight boko haram.
if thr s any person that supposed to be ready to rule nigeria, it shud be buhari. We r talkng of someone who was the pioneer minister for petroleum, one time head of state, ptf chairman..... n also an aspirant for 3 terms. What was he thinking while campaigning?

PMB will never name his cabinet.
I feel that within a matter of days or weeks we would learn why he would not be the person that would appoint ministers for the APC government.
