What the op is trying to say is nigerian youth should embrace voctional bsed careers....pratical careers not all this read and cram subjects....look at China..look what they are investing all over the world...look what they're building look at india...these two nation despite theirpopulation produces product to export n human exports...not here where all we do is pray n pray |

Nnaeb: You ask which public and which estate? So you want to ban a course you know nothing about! You want to ban academic courses offered in Universities the WORLD over such as International Relations (read here on Nairaland how most posters have no idea how governments or the world works to be convinced of the value of this course). You reject the sciences? And what do we replace them with? Concrete Finishing (Plastering, Screading, Painting, Tiles)  ?? NO University anywhere in the world does this. It may be in some technical college or even better as an apprenticeship with on the job training. Naija would be the laughing stock of the world if it did this (not that anyone could be so stupid as to really do it).Ah, but you are exaggerating to illustrate a point! Just remember that many here read these silly examples and take them literally! If these courses were so useless why has the developed world been offering them in its Universities for centuries. If you follow a PROPER educational system with appropriate mix of academic and non academic courses in Universities and Technical colleges etc you WILL progress. 5 Likes |

Remove Insurance from that list. Insurance is a very big sector on it own. They also have a professional body. |

Do you know the importance of social workers and sociologists at all.. If the current structure on ground don't encourage this field doesn't mean It should scraped... I am a proud social worker in the making even if we are not duly recognised doesn't makes us feeble... |
