Even God at the right time allowed Israel to break into 2 nations. Kumuyi should not say what God did not say. Same man who for decades said watching TV was s sin, only to now start transmitting his programs via satellite. When did God edit the list of sins if it is no longer a sin now? 2 Likes 3 Shares |

papaejima1: We never said watching Television is sin rather as Intercessors we use our time wisely and thus pray for your salvation and peace for our country. As a foundational member, we were never told nor did we preach or proclaimed damnation on Television viewers rather we emphasized on dangers of uncensored programs including pornography hence the warning against watching television 1 Like |

IsraeliAIRFORCE:U? Activism? Where? Here? Lol.. Ngwakwe abegi lv matter! Back to d matter U wnt me to tell u about Bakare livin DLBC, a thread in here u copiously commented on? I will oblige u..Read..ds excerpt " But one day, while I was ministering and a brother was interpreting, I was giving example of the “faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God” and I said, ‘Supposing you go to a supermarket to buy soap, you might not know what soap to buy but because you watched the advertisement of Joy soap on television, then you would look for Joy soap because you have been hearing about it.’ And my interpreter said: “If you have been watching the devil’s box…”I told him I didn’t say devil’s box but television, and he repeated saying the devil’s box and Brother Kumuyi was behind us. I said I didn’t say devil’s box and that the normal interpretation is amu ohun mu aworan, (the box that captures both the voice and the visuals). Anyway, he still said what he said. The following Sunday, Brother Kumuyi came up with what he called “Sunday Exaltation”; he said that even if you repair television, you are a child of the devil. Then I took my Bible and left. I went home and said I would serve my God, but was not interested anymore in church." Theres nothin u wrote dt needs me goin bk to read...U folks preached against TV back den dt it if u folks had ur way u wd hv made it d 11th commendment. I worshipped dere at some point in time and heard dt over and again! My mum was a worker and they were banned from havin TV in dere homes! So choose who u wl sell this ur fibs to! |

Keep talking and expose your tribalist sentiments please. By no means stop on our account. YOU are the problem with the Igbo, people like you are the biggest problem with Nigeria, fortunately... the person you cause the biggest problem for is of course with yourself. Tribalism has no place in national discourse. You just come here spout Igbo are being cheated, please itemize the list for us to see. Vicotex2: |

shaqhead: I studied Electrical/Electronics and repair electronics back in those days including TV and still was never excommunicated nor was my father who is a Pastor then. Secondly, I can't validate nor dismissed your report on Bakare's experience. However, I don't take my GS, Pastor Kumuyi as Jesus Christ but calling TV "devil box" is euphemism for what the available stations transmit at that time which is filled with intermittent pornographic advertisements. Remember, there were no dedicated stations as we have today. But in all, there was never a time, Deeper Life explicitly condemned Television viewers to hell rather there was a serious campaign within the church leadership to discourage the workers from the rampant exposure to pornography in the programmes. If your hand will lead you to sin and to hell fire, Jesus recommends cutting it off, though all persons are not the same. 1 Like 1 Share |

IsraeliAIRFORCE:U said something which is quite instructive for us as christians which is: that G.O aint ur Jesus Christ and so you should show some cautious restraint when coming out with all daggers to defend ur church or ur G.O! Ok now that u have subtle porn EVERYWHERE...do u now go blind? This things wl ALWAYS be there and they are shape shifting everyday. What the church shd b doin is fortifying us wt deep spiritual meat dt makes us recognise and deal with such with WISDOM! I rest my case! |

A certain successful man was asked about the secret of success, and he said that he did not know the secrets of success but that he surely knows the secrets of failure, and that is trying to please everyone. I don't know the powers behind Kumuyi, but I know that he has failed to speak the truth about Nigeria, particularly the truth about Nigeria's inevitable disintegration going by things that cannot change in Nigeria. Those things are: (1) The Fulani/Hausa will always despise western education, and will always continue to be backwards because of that. Our 100 years history has proven that handsomely. (2) The Fulani/Hausa will always want to rule Nigeria despite their educational and human development backwardness. They believe it is their birthright to rule Nigeria for ever, and even when the president is not from there, they must control things that make the president powerless as far as the North is concerned; e.g Obasanjo and Sharia in the North; Jonathan and Boko Haram (3) The East led by the Igbo will always work to leave such a backward country. The east fought a war and lost over it in 1967. The east is warming up again to leave, this time planning to make sure that no one can stop them. Now, if this prophet were to speak these truths without trying to please everybody, i.e trying to be politically correct, he would have been more successful as a worker of faith and a possible mouthpiece of the most high. The choices were clear; he chose wrong and by so doing showed that the sources of his powers might not be God. |

shaqhead: In the church, there are "spiritual" elders, young men/women and finally little children as we were addressed by Saint John in his epistles. Now there is need to safeguard the young disciples as they tend to maturity hence the desire to remove them from "certain appearances of evil" according to Paul's epistle to Thessolonians which necessitated the additional protocols put in place by the church to keep the flock of Jesus Christ. The Church great foundation can now handle most deceits and wields of the devil and these days we have many dedicated Christian channels to feed from every morning before the day's challenges 1 Like 1 Share |
