Like all other technologies, firearm technology
has improved greatly in the last century. It took
multiple centuries to go from a single-shot
musket with limited range to a repeating rifle
accurate out to a quarter of a mile, but it has
taken only a century to go from that repeating
rifle to fully automatic weapons accurate out to
as far as two miles. These advances in
technology have created a new generation of

most powerful guns in the world. 10 HK416 Assault Rifle Place of origin: Germany This collaboration between American armed forces and German arms maker Heckler & Koch is slowly encroaching on the territory of the AR-15 platform as the favored assault rifle. A relatively new design that is only beginning to hit the world markets, this will become the main assault rifle of the 21st century. The design has demonstrated better accuracy, better reliability, and longer part lifespan when compared against the AR-15 and its variants. The cost of the rifle and the hesitance of countries to dispose of arms they have already paid for is all that stands in the way of this becoming the prevalent assault rifle of the 21st century. 9 Kalashnikov AK-47 Assault Rifle Place of origin: Soviet Union While it does not have the sheer firepower, range, accuracy or ease of concealment of the other guns on the list, what makes the AK-47 the most dangerous gun in the world is simplicity and numbers. The ubiquity of the weapon is scary – there have been over 100 million AK-47 or licensed variants sold since its creation. It is inexpensive, easy to fix, and incredibly durable. DSR-Precision DSR 50 Sniper Rifle Place of origin: Germany While the round coming out of this rifle is the same size of the rounds coming out of the M2HB, you'll never see this one coming. These rifles can hit a 2-inch target from a half-mile away, meaning the bullet will hit you before you hear the gun firing. The good news is that they are expensive, and in limited production.
