Obasanjo stole the money that could have been used to provide Nigeria with electricity, and that theft left Nigerian industry clinically dead, and its crime rate soaring . He is a villain who deserves HARD TIME in jail, and not " respect ".

Obasanjo did NOTHING to earn respect from anyone beyond his immediate family and bank managers . He merely managed to survive for a few decades in the snake pit of Nigeian politics, while stealing enough money to pay off the country's entire foreign debt, which remains and shall remain unpaid for as long as criminals like Obasanjo are glorified by those who chose to measure human decency in years spent alive, rather than in tangible benefits contributed to society.
