I believe whatever stage the baby is at that time, the parents would be in a dicey situation as to whether or not to terminate the pregnancy. This is more of a psychological thing. Think about it yourself. It would be like a case of deliberately killing something that you can almost feel. It's hard luck.

The truth is if the woman had gone for a scan, it would av bin detected. But then again the very few pple go for scan unless they feel something is actually wrong(this is not a good practice).
And just as you said even if they new about the deformity, most couple would refuse the abortion cause of the possibility that the sonogram would be wrong ( this has hapnd to someone I know). Well it was their call and whatever decision they made they are living with it.

It is a feature of literary style in Arabic that a person may refer to himself by the pronoun nahnu (we) for respect or glorification. He may also use the word ana (I), indicating one person, or the third person huwa (he). All three styles are used in the Qur’an, where Allah addresses the Arabs in their own tongue.

The One Who is more deserving of respect than any other is Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, so when He says in the Qur’an innaa (“Verily We”) and nahnu (“We”), it is for respect and glorification, not to indicate plurality of numbers.
But Allah again shows his singularity clearly in the quran e.g “And your god is One God, there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful” [al-Baqarah 2:163] and “Say: He is Allaah, the One” [al-Ikhlaas 112:1] – and other aayaat which can only be interpreted in one way. Thus confusion will be dispelled for the one who is seeking the truth. Every time Allaah uses the plural to refer to Himself, it is based on the respect and honour that He deserves, and on the great number of His names and attributes, and on the great number of His troops and angels

And who are u to make such comment Why can't u ask ur self simple question before commenting, don't u think that there are some women/ladies that wouldn't wish to give birth maybe due to circumstances surrounding their pregnancy. It could be that the mother had earlier wantd to terminate the baby in the early phase of her pregnancy. Drug reaction of such act can disfigure a baby. Don't u think that some chronic virus infection could equally lead to that? Don't u know that a chronic use of some substances could as well led to that?. My dear, things that could be linkd with that are numerous. So, don't blame God for He said unto himself after creation that all He had created is good and till tomorrow his words remains thsame. There's nothing like lies in the Bible. What happened is a birth defect and developmental deformity due to human activities ranging from drugs, substances, mechanical and genetical alterations including internal body compound distortions.

Yes it is a severely malformed foetus. ... so what. Come to the UK or US and see different cases. I've seen suggestions about flushing him down the toilet. Sir, the fact still remains he doesn't make mistakes. If u have any idea of programming, I guess you'd understand what might have happened. There are rare cases of genetic alterations, mutations, damages nd some omissions while d genetic info are bn copied and replicated. These can have terrible implications, I guess this is one of them.
