LagosEconomist:

Basketball, especially at the pro level is mainly a game of the 20's. Once you cross 30, you start to decline. Guys at the highest levels (NBA) have access to excellent diet and exercise regimen, and usually push till 35, but that is not the case with the Guys in Europe. Of course there are exceptions like Duncan who is still going strong at 39.

Skinn is 32 and is now retired from Pro Basketball, but he is still involved with the game.

He is now an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech (University) in the USA. That is a very good landing with bright career prospects.

Ok. Love the way you analyse the game. Do you play?

I do play though for pleasure, cross my prime,At close to 50,late 40's i train my kids now.The big players are not here though,I can't see IK Diogu, Oyedeji &Derick Obasohon.I am a basketball freak and i have every access to its best here in Europe. We need to win this tournament for the first time, coming second and third best with our talents is not good enough.I misses one of the best rear guard to have come out of Nigeria,Ade Dagunduro.

The Aminu brothers will be key! They came on and changed the whole thing.

No, they are core players here,Alade missed a sitter dunk,Al farouk missed two free throws twice it is unusual of him.I think they will raise their games when it matters. Thanks for the link.

Bros.. Take it easy... Even elite Nba players can go 3 for 10 in free throws... Cut them some slack..

This is there 1st game.. We pray they improve as the competition progresses...

I watched their training and friendly matches in France, they played better than this, mind you i am not scolding our players rather want them to gel in preparation for tough opponents.

88 - 63 oyedeji 1/2 free throw and end of the game.

Not a convincing win ,even the commentators says Nigeria may struggle against bigger opponents.Green blood flows in me,there is no way i will sabotage Nigeria. We should up our games and improve as this competition progress.Best of luck to us as we chase this elusive afrobasket cup.

Congrats to D'Tigers for the 25-point win. I learned that Voight used his 2nd team for this game.

Nice one Sir... Well... I watch more of NBA basketball because I mostly stream all my sports events and U hardly see links to watch other basketball match.. I only know Aminu very well because he plays for Dallas Mavericks..

Well.. I hope to watch Nigeria next game live.. I hope they win this tournament... Kudos for the commentary...

Sincerely we have the materials to win it,we are the USA team of Africa basketball, new boys are now on the roaster,i want them to gel and be formidable,Angola,Mozambique,Senegal,Egypy and probably Cameroon are tough nuts to crack,I have not forgotten how we lost in 2013 to Senegal 63 - 62 in the quarter finals despite the fact that we had the game in control till a minute to the end when we allowed the Senegalese to turn the table around and eliminate us.I wish the guys the best of luck as i will keep supporting them.Tournaments are not easy to win.

I'm a basketball addict too, I still play though and my son has taken to the game too but enough is not been done to develop the game here in Nigeria.
