I av a lot of questions fa, the EAS isn't going for example, the site doesn't seem user friendly to me etc. I have a university admission that is one of their priority area, do I have to ask the school to nominate me or what and how do I go about it.

Are you trying to apply for shared scholarship? If yes, shared scholarship is temporarily closed because of high traffic on EAS portal. It will be reopened on 20th November

Honestly, that EAS is not attractive at all . But what can u do than use it as it is. While u're waiting for the EAS to open for Shared again, check if ur course is eligible for Shared scholarship in ur institution. And d schools also usually need one to submit a separate application for the Shared scholarship too. These are things u can do while waiting for the EAS.

I think it all depends on the school. Most schools would require you to apply for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship via EAS website after securing admission in eligible course. But there is a school, University of Bristol to be precise, which requires you for you to apply for admission and indicate it in your application that you want to considered for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship and if your application is successful, you will be asked to fill the EAS website around end of January or Early February. So far, I think it is only University of Bristol that do such.

It's under the basic/extra details, they keep saying my age entered in Figure is not a valid number, I entered it in word, still invalid. Me no dey like dis kind stress ooo.

Please is it compulsory to attach an admission letter before submitting your application? I'm yet to get an admission letter from any of the schools I applied to so don't know if I should just submit like that

Is it that the beneficiaries of shared scholarships are going to pay part of their fees?

No Dan2j, Commonwealth, and Commonwealth Shared scholarship are fully funded scholarship. Beneficiaries aren't required to pay any fee. The difference is that the former is completely funded by Commonwealth Scholarship Council (UK govt department), while the latter is shared between the UK school to which you are applying and CSC. That is why if you are nominated by the school, you already have high probability of getting the scholarship. However, it is very competitive, as you will be competing with candidates for other African countries
