Most women even prefer their pastors to their husbands they do everything their pastors tell them and neglect simple instructions from their husbands. It is clear here that wearing of jewelries was never stated as a sin but women were advised not to make this a priority...

I am not claiming to be an alpha Christian and i really want to learn and i practically begged the mods to put this very thread on frontpage because i really want to learn from people who may know more than i do so that we all can learn.

In essence, I was trying to counter your argument that many people refuse to get saved just because they were told to put off those things you mentioned.
Now I'm saying that it should not be so, but that anybody that want to be saved should not be hindered by anything; should rather come with open mind to God. But that many find it difficult because they think they cannot do without some worldly pleasures.

Now, preaching what people would want to hear will only end up bringing people into your church but not into the kingdom of God.
The preaching that makes sense to God is the one done by the Spirit. No matter how harsh it may seem, it'll still leave the sinner broken and repentant because it is the Spirit that converts not you
