I dont know if this is the right section to post this,If not MOD's should gracefully move it to the right section which exactly is the Front-page..Today Marks exactly 4weeks this issue started..I am an MTN User,A loyal customer at that..Today marks 4weeks have not being able to mark nor receive phone calls in my area here in Ibadan..Everybody is complaining as it is making Life Hell on earth for us whenever we are Home..Before now,The service here is super fast and everything is on point. I have called their Customercare number times without number, they keep on telling us they would fix it..Have being to their Head office here in Ibadan, yet no response..I was able to get to know what exactly happened,Was told their Generator packed up or something,I dont know how long this would take to be recitified as it seems the non-challant attitude of we Nigerians in things like this at Play here.. The Area in question is Adeosun,Area of Awotan Apete,Ibadan and the Local-Goverment is Ido-Local Government.. MTN Should please come to our resuce and fix things asap..I would so much appreciate Seun, lalasticlala Please help move this to Front Page so their Oga go see am... Thanks |

Supported. The problem is that our NCC is just corrupt. They won't fight for issues like this, but things that will enrich their pocket. Networks providers can't do this mess in other country the way they behave in Nigeria. In Nigeria, call rate is very expensive, data is very expensive and also data doesn't last long, poor network everywhere. Something need to be done urgently. They should convert the money for celebrity advertisement to better and improve their network. NCC don't be a coward. It is time to act. |

It is absolutely seconded. But, wait this motion ought to have been moved by The so called Regulator (NCC) of Telecom Industry, if not the Federal Lawmakers or Civil Society Group. But we are in Nigeria where Equity, Justice and Fairness are exchanged for self/personal aggrandizement. |

donhils:Then your apps are gulping your data in the background. I've been using large screen phones since 2012. I've used HTC Desire, then Tecno Phantom and now Infinix Hot Note Pro. Go to "Settings" in your phone, select "Data Usage" and for each of the apps there, Click on "Restrict Background Data". Do that for the apps that consume your data the most. Also don't check apps like WhatsApp or Facebook app. If you do that, u won't receive notifications again except when you're online. I also have a feeling that playstore automatically updates ur apps regularly. That's also one of the things that consume people's data a lot. You should also check Playstore. Do these basic things and see ur 1gb data last you a whole month. I'm sure you'll come and thank me later. 1 Like |

The Truth is that Nigerians will be Nigerians.... If the network operators remove the validity periods from data allowance they know that they will lose.... All these IMEI thieves that steal IMEI of phones that MTN and other networks give free data on purchase as promo, imagine they accumulate 600GB and there's no validity period... Everything is there for a reason, the whole validity stuff may be unnecessary and "infringing on our rights" like the OP said, but due to the mass thievery from the customers that goes on in the form of stealing IMEI and Simple server and the likes.... Validity period is very necessary, at least until they totally curb the whole free browsing cheats stuff in Nigeria and all customers actually start paying for Data... Cos the truth is that in Nigeria even if data was N100 for 1GB Nigerians will still look for free browsing cheat |

What then will be done to the daily stealing of credits through "by force caller tunes, by force subscription charges and incessant advertising calls being perpetrated by the service providers? |
