Ikechukwu Aduba, former Delta state police commissioner, has insisted there is something more dangerous than the dreaded Boko Haram sect in Nigeria.

The retired police officer raised alarm over the illegal activities of Fulani cattle rearers and urged the man incharge of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari to address the situation before it is too late.

Ex-CP Aduba explained why these guys are worse than Boko Haram:

“It is a serious issue, more complicated than the terrorists activities in the Northeast. Boko Haram war is a minor issue when compared with what we are going to experience in the hands of Fulani cattle rearers in the nearest future if the issue is not addressed.

“In some places, especially in Delta state where I served as the commissioner of police, many people cannot go to the farm anymore for fear of being attacked in the bush by cattle rearers. Many women have been raped in front of their husbands and children. Many people killed by the cattle rearers. It is a pathetic situation if cattle eat up people’s crops in the farm and the farm owner challenges them, it is a big problem. If the farm owner keeps quite, his toil for the year will be in vain. It is a wearisome situation.

“The action is affecting agricultural businesses as communities are afraid to go to the farm for the fear that one day, all their labour for one year will be eaten up in one day by cattle. If a community is afraid that their loved may go to the farm and not return, how do you expect them to go to the farm where they may meet their untimely death? This is a serious and pathetic situation that is worse than Boko Haram. They will soon overrun the entire country.

“I want to advice that President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Assembly should constitute a committee that would look into the issue. My suggestion is that the cattle rearers should be confined in gracing reserves and ranches. They should be made to stay in a particular area and not to wander from place to place.

“If you look at it critically, we don’t eat beef more than other countries of the world. We don’t have cow more than other countries. We don’t export cow, yet in the countries that even export cow, there is absolute peace because they don’t take their cattle to places that they are not supposed to take them. The Nigerian government should take a decisive stands on the matter or the keg of gun powder will explode and the government will now not be able to tackle the menace of the cattle rearers.”

Herdsmen should be banned across the country or kill any cattle herdsmen you come across it is at simple as that.

Stop assasinating the character of Buhari! GEJ was there for six years, but he didn't do anything to address the issue, even when it was raised repeatedly. The problem lies in policy formulation and the failure on the parts of our security forces to live up to expectation.

Do you know that in the core north, goats, sheeps and cattle are confined in barns and not allowed to wander in to farms?

The main problem is that most of the rural villages in the Southsouth and southeast have an ageing population deprived of young men.

People go to the villages to retire and die.

The Fulani knows they have no opposition in these small rural villages and given that the police are useless in dealing with the Fulani menace as they dare not arrest any Fulani the herdsmen continue operating with impunity.

The only solution is to adopt the model in states like Anambra where vigilante groups armed and paid for by the diaspora protect the villages.

This is why I like your average Anambra man. He doesn't wait for govt or God to help him and he hates finding himself as victim.

If you check, the Fulanis hardly venture into Anambra.

Keep waiting for the Fulani dominated army to help you.

When GEJ ordered troops from a garrison in Benue to intervene in the Nassarawa crisis between Fulani militias vs Eggon community wherein several Fulani militias where killed what did the likes of El Rufai say?

The problem with you sw people is that you assume wrongly that the Hausa Fulani consider you as their fellow nationals.

Go to Kano and see first hand how a Sahelian from Chad, Mali, Niger, Sudan and even Senegal is welcomed more than you in your supposedly one nijeriya.

You people are living a lie and by the time you wake up to the realisation that the Hausa Fulani are all out for absolute control of the polity the better of you will be prepared when they start killing you.

I see you guys in the sw in the same state of mind as the middle belt people who used to assume the Fulanis as allies. Today, they are crying for help.

Don't put yourselves in that position.

The scariest day of my was when I was in thesame cab with these fulani herdsmen. I was so scared that I thought I'd die that day. These men were transporting their cows to the market and they wanted to keep the cows on the cab. The way these men were so attached to these cows ehn, you'll think they are talking about one beautiful girl in the area. I looked scared because I wasn't one of them because I don't trust the brain of these fulani herdsmen. They might go sicko and cut of my head!

This useless open range system of grazing belongs to the preindustrial era.
We can and should no longer condone destruction of human lives and propertiea.

The impunity with which these guys commit this crime is exacerbated by their leaders in power in the military and federal level.
You can imagine our current president who would have easily caused another civil war in his support of the bastardzz...

Why won't they continue thinking the whole country is theirs to graze in

I find it amusing u now agree our security forces especially the police haven't lived up to expectations considering it was always easy for most of u to blame those same security failings on the past administration while dey were there.

Southerners should come up with a common front to tackle the menace of Fulani herdsmen cos from all indication their grand patron doesn't seem to care. Hundreds of Nigerians are being killed yearly across the country.

Chief Olu Falae an Afenifere chieftain from the SW is presently a victim of Fulani herdsmen madness.

Igbos don't see Yorubas as problems, only when you people come in to defend the abokiis wicked tendencies. That's where we are always at loggerheads.

The only time the northern hegemony can be dissolved is when the SE and SW team up... but that has never happened in Nigeria's history.
