Someone should please translate dis yoruba word for me=> O gbaa dun. Help me to use it to make a sentence. e.g bobo/omo o gbaa dun. Ja wan si jo, what does it mean. |
Re: Nairaland Official Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba Dictionary by olap001(m): 9:07am On Dec 03, 2009 |
nellaluv:Taking the sentence literally, it means you ain't well, but mainly used to tell people that they ain't serous. In a sentence it could be bobo yi oo gbadun i.e. this guy ain't serious. Ja won si jo means please inform them or plaese let them now |

Hi folks, I hope you all had a smashing Xmas and are now looking forward to a more smashing New Year Celebration, please, what does "dobale" mean? The context here is an article in 234next, where it is mentioned. Could it be some fun exchange or talks in a bar? Love to you all |
Re: Nairaland Official Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba Dictionary by biina: 6:28pm On Dec 28, 2009 |
Candy9:dobale in yoruba means to prostrate, which is an act of respect when a male is greeting one who much older than him (or a king). Females are expected to kneel down. |
