Nigeria's ex-oil minister appears at UK police station

New details have emerged about Nigeria's former oil minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, appearing at the Charing Cross police station in the UK.

TVC can authoritatively report that Alison-Madueke actually went to the police station, but went through the back door, because of the huge media presence.

She was bailed on the same conditions as she was last Friday, but can't leave the United Kingdom and can't apply for new travel documents.

She was granted bail again because of her health and is now due to return to court on January the 21st next year.

We have enough of this,so in the whole of Nigeria,is she the only corrupt politician? undecided

Jeez,it's annoying that we are leaving more important things pestering our country like insecurity and here we are flooding the net and news with Diezani?

How does her case solve the present security problem in the country? undecided
Misplaced priority.

Well....the case is in court...let us see what happens.

The sad thing about all of this is that Nigerians do not beleive in fighting corruption. If we had seen how damaging corruption can be, and had devoted our energy to fighting it from 1960 onward....we would probably have been more prosperous, and we would not be a nation in poverty.

Ah well.....

These ministers are very stoopid. How can I steal money and go to UK? Does sense not tell them they'll get arrested? If I steal money and want to hide, I'll go to Monaco or one of those countries nobody ever remembers. It's common sense!

Misplaced priority.

So we should let her go....and allow the stealing to continue.

Yes...we let them Northerners go....and look at how bad the North is.

You Nigerians....when someone from your region is prosecuted for corruption, rather than cry partiality, be thankful that they are removing the corrupt from your region...so that we can get some clean pairs of hand into the mix.

Better not excuse corruption. The excuse you are using now is the same one used when others were being prosecuted.

Nigerians all over better wakey wakey.....and put pressure on Abuja to prosecute all the Diezanis in this country....ie all the corruptibles.
