Because a Hausa woman will cook Dan Wake and mai-da-yaji. But the Igbo man prefers Fufu and Oha soup!

I don't know any hause girl, therefore the possibility of getting married to one is 0.1%.

Btw, it is all about choice. You don't need facts to know that some Igbos married hausa women.

Igbos do marry Hausas but mostly from the Christian part. I've seen a couple of these marriages.
However, one major issue there is religious difference.
Hausas are mostly Muslims while Igbos are mostly Christians and the lines are divergent. smiley

igbos and other tribes especially those in the SS would hardly marry hausas apart from the elite ones the average hausa women in the streets in the south are always protected and hardly socialize, and sometimes this hausa people there head touches even when they are outside there land u can go and woo one hausa girl and either the proposed husband, brother or father would come and daggar u.

well..i think i feel differently abt d topic because i knw quite a good number of igbo men dat are married to christian northerners and it is most prevalent in the army,as for the muslims,it is a taboo for a muslim to marry a christian in the north, although amongst the southerners especially yorubas it those nt matter,in summary, yes, igbos marry hausas forget about political and online sentiments and some of their men e.g babangida, atiku and lots of army officers are married to igbo ladies..love knows no boundary

'Hate' is a little too strong a word to use in this context.

Let's just say Igbos are not always in hurry to marry from outside; though a few have, but its not the norm.

It has always been this way.

Nd what stuppid unity is that? Don't you know that Igbo bloodline is pure? We are traditionalists/Christians and they are muslims. We eat Akpu and Egusi, they drink fura de nunu... Blood of Animals. What exactly bonds us together? Okay, so marrying together will now make us one unique tribe? Chukwu ekwela ihe ojoor! Tufiakwa!

Anyday I marry for unity purposes, may I wither alive!! If you wanna marry an Hausa/Yoruba or any other thing, marry for love and not for unification of tribes. We are so much different by a trillion light years.. No hate meant.

One of maa uncle is married from hausa tribe.
But the issue with that is (religion) becus maa uncle have to conceal to there demand to be converted to Muslim.
It is a hard decision which he obliged against his brothers wish.
The issue there is that you have to be a muslim before u could talk of marriage with an Hausa girl.
Though some of them are not Muslim shaa.
But I think the beautiful ones among them are mostly from Muslim families.

Black and white are nomenclatures. Am talking about tribes. Igbo and Igbo or Igbo and any white tribe marriage is like water and water coming together but Igbo and Hausa or Yoruba marriage is like heaven and Hell or Light and Darkness. Igbo is light while Hausa/Yoruba are darkness coming together. There can never be peace between them till infinity and beyond.undecided undecided undecided

Why do you think all Hausa/Yoruba notables rush off to marry light skin Igbo girls? Because they know we are superior. Eg Atiku, Babangida, FFK etc. You can never see any Igbo notable marry outside Igbo. If you see any, it was for a poitical appointment, business gain or one other frivolous reason which is bad!!

I never knew you're such a tribalistic bigot.

What on earth are you guys all talking about? Most of you saying Igbo's cannot marry hausas have not travelled outside your enclave to the North to see how igbo girls are marrying Hausa men and vice versa. 'Moi' is happily married to an Igbo man. prouldly Hausa with parents from Kano and Kaduna respectively. With love, religion does not matter, most especially if the parents on both sides are intellectuals (like mine).

We are mostly talking about Igbo men marrying an Hausa women Not vice Versa!!!
Women can marry anybody because of money, fame, respect nd "love" (no offence)..but Men don't really do that...
@topic..
Its simple, because of RELIGION....some Igbo guys don't even knw that there is a reasonable percentage of Hausa Christians....

Christians marrying Muslims anywhere in the world(not only Nigeria) is extremely Scarce!!!
The 2 Religions are totally not compatible with each other...
