Thank you. What Mizcoli does with every single post, and on every thread, is to be called out because such usage of the forum destroys constructive discussion. We can all 'stray' and go personal sometimes but she does it always even when everyone can see she is off-topic and trying to derail the thread. As I stated earlier, even hardcore PDP fan contributed positively and relevantly on this thread.

Another nonsense post and more gibberish focused on other posters. When will you learn to stick to the topic and stop your petty desire to personalise every topic against others? Can you tell us who impressed you the most out if the Ministerial nominee or something related to that? No one is interested, at least not on this thread, about the so-called propaganda of Lai Mohammed. Focus should be on how the nominees performed before the screening committee.

Every poster can 'stray' now and then yet I have never seen a post from you where you focus exclusively on politics or on the topic under discussion. In other words you don't contribute anything useful, informative or interesting. All you do is use every post to deliver personalised rants against others. I challenge you to talk about the performance of the ministerial nominees. Nothing more. It is clear enough what the topic is asking. I.e tell us your choice/s of Ministerial nominees who you think shone before the Senate committee. You were not asked to pettily attack the choice of others because of personalised hatred of Lai Mohammed, who acquitted himself well according to many, or because you are incapable of giving credit where due.

I've said a lot about Gbawe in the past, I'm even short of words now. But one thing I know is this - Gbawe is a stupid_ fool.

He's an elderly guy, but I don't care. I repeat, He's a stupid_ bitter old zombie!

You gave the paid goon a nice reply.

Don't mind Nairaland's eldest political discussant.
His hypocrisy stinks to high heavens.
The elderly man is accusing me of same thing he is incontrovertibly guilty of.

As far as this board is concerned, I am a learner when compared to him, as regards all he's accused me of.

He can continue living in his delusion of internal grandeur though, it's allowed.

Ignore all you want yet the forum can see you "ignored" the topic also to rant pettily, irrelevantly and off-topic. Elections are over. Before the election many of us were 'wound up' but it is time for Nairaland politics section to return to the 'Mecca' of intelligent, educational and productive discussion it used to be. Your petty and totally off-topic rants never help. I am sure posters would have preferred to read about who impressed you at the screening and not your diattribe against Lai.

[s]What nice reply? She has been shown up as someone who is unable to stick to the topic, is extremely petty and can never contribute positively to discussion. Like I said, all posters 'stray' sometimes including me yet I manage to contribute positively to the topic. That is what I am known for here so she has no point. My conduct, even at my most rude previously, is not remotely similar to hers where she never discusses anything political or pertaining to the topic and will always rant off-focus against others. It is very irritating for anyone to do this with every post they contribute here.

She is asked to name the ministerial nominees who impressed her. Seeing the name of Lai Mohammed many times simply enraged this petty individual who can never set her personal dislike of others to give credit where due. She then proceeded to rant against Lai Mohammed, in a petty and off-topic manner, while ignoring the topic. Someone needs to tell her to know how to contribute to post positively, educationally and stick to the topic. Yoiu are doing the same thing she is doing and such conduct ruin the politics section. There are many staunch PDP supporters here who detest the APC yet they put pettiness aside, respected the topic and gave us their own name/s. Why can you and that petty lady not do same? Why the need to always quarrel with everything and everyone? You should be telling her to address the topic or stay off the thread. it is clear what OP asked for and I don't see how this is a thread to attack the choice of other posters to then be talking exclusively of Lai Mohammed's "propaganda"[/s]
I wish I read this rubbish epistle. Your zombies will appreciate this, certainly not Severus.

Most was ok.

I was fairly impressed by Dr Onu.

Least impressed by Kayode Fayemi, in fact if he must be a minister he should be given a lesser ministry with minimal budgetary responsibility.

He should not be allowed anywhere near the Foreign Ministry.

The things that I did not like about his past and what he said during the screening included:

1. He claimed that Foreign policy during the days of Abacha when we intervened in Liberia and Sierra Leone were too charitable as we did not benefit financially from our intervention, in terms of seeking reconstruction contracts.

Firstly this is a shortsighted view. The stability of our neighbours and region from the intervention is justification by itself.

Abacha was poisoned by USA sponsored agents soon after the intervention so it should have been Thief Obasanjo who should have pursued these contracts and reaped the benefits of the goodwill Abacha had sowed.

Instead clueless Fayemi in this same breath praised Thief Obasanjo for linking domestic interests to foreign intervention.

At this point I knew he could not be a minister if I had anything to do with it.

Secondly his stated opposition of Abacha of running a secret illegal radio station is treachery and hypocritcal given that Abacha was the leader that created Ekiti state which he later sought to run as governor.

His record as governor left a legacy of indebtedness for the state.

Very disappointing.

I am thinking if he must be made minister he should be considered for Minister of Immigration or a similar lesser ministry.

Please don't find it offensive if I say you are one of the reasons Nigerian youths are still being undermined as undeserving in governance.
He tan an illegal radio to oust an illegal and despotic government. He also made the economic situation of his state explicit, he said he met and settled debt amounting to thirty billion, had to raise funds to execute capital project and some of those bonds will be maturing plus other obligations to contractors etc amounting to eighteen billion.Bro, I think you don't know anything about governance but to do armchair criticism.
Sentiments apart, I listened to him and I saw a brilliant man, the best yesterday. My reservation was in the socialist approach to poverty alleviation, but I still remember the scriptures that says we must care for the weak.

look dude, forget the past and stop this behaviour of thinking you must always fight and argue with others because of historical beef. What I told her is in order and everyone knows it. She should stick to the topic. She completely ignored the topic and her only contribution is to attack the choice of others and be ranting against Lai Mohammed. If we all did that then productive and informative discussion will never be seen here. i have thoroughly enjoyed the contribution of others because I did not see the screening and their productive input 'educated' me. Even the PDP guys knew instinctively that this is a thread to inspect the screening and what happened there and not a thread to be ranting pettily against the past conduct, real and imagined, of Lai Mohammed.
Okay. I read this, no one wants to beef. But you also have to let go of the past.

I want to write more, but I'm busy right now.

I was not the only one who commented about the 'bad belle' and off - topic nature of her post. Many did. Her post got quoted the most negatively here because it is ngeative, irrelevant and off-topic. If she is an objective person then she will note the perception others have of her and try to contribute positively here. Whether or not Lai was about propaganda in the past is irrelevant.

She should give us her own name and not limit her contribution to attacking the choice of other posters merely because she cannot stand that Lai Mohammed was praised by many here. Did you see the screening? If yes then you should tell us those who impressed you as others have done.

Thank you for your view.

But his criticism of Nigeria failure to capitalise from it regional interventions, and then going on to praise Thief Obasanjo (who was the president that failed to chase the reconstruction contracts) for linking foreign policy to domestic interests was very contradictory, and clueless in my opinion.

Regarding the indebteness state he left Ekiti in, he listed all the loans he took and but he never gave much detail in any , of the capital projects and infrastructure he built. Only saying "the results are there for all to see".

I trust PMB must have his reasons for making him a minister , for that reason we should give all nominees the benefit of the doubt for now and see how they perform.

So, people who sowed and watered the politics of hate, propaganda and insults are suddenly calling for a ceasefire? Laughable!

What goes around, comes back around. Surely they should have known their vituperations will come back full circle.

This section was destroyed in the run up to the General Elections and it will never remain the same again.

@Topic...I was busy with work, I won't waste one second of my time watching propagandists and liars trying to scam their way into positions of power! Whatever they want to do, however they want to do it, they should remember Nigerian youths are yet to know when the 5k stipend will start getting to them. Or even when our kids will start eating in schools.

What got me really irked was when Mr Akpabio called Mr Lai a "Father Of Propaganda" and they were all laughing.
Apparently, they laughed because they didn't want it to sound so embarrassing.

And to think that someone picked him as his best screened minister? It begs the question!
Was Lai ever screened?

During the run up to the last general elections, we all witnessed the riles and biles which our media space was filled with. The insults, the retorts and downright degrading of the office of the presidency, such precedence as we now clearly see, has been spilled over into this administration.

Public Relations Specialists are advised to shun Propaganda, especially the Black kind.
Lai Moh'd has proven his mettle in the world of propaganda. It is worrisome to me.
