I got a job as an Analyst in a Noodles manufacturing company in Lagos, I was staff, though the salary was small, and the agreement says my salary will be reviewed after 2 months due to my performance. What's eating me now is that, they decided to pay some set of people in the company and left some few set. I was among the unfortunate ones they refused to pay, and when I ask the management for my salary, they keep saying there is no market, I told them I won't come to work again if they refuse to pay me, they begged me that I should keep coming, and now I'm very pissed off, I can't afford for my personal upkeep anymore as I'm staying with a friend. My mind keep breeding different evil suggestions like "I should go and set their warehouse ablaze", but I'm not as tough as that. I decide to share this for advice please, "they say two minds on a problem is better than one"

Please, avoid doing anything that would get you arrested. Not worth it at all! Vengeance, only look good for a moment and then, regret sets in. Good to say you'll regret it the rest of your life even if not caught in the act. Beside, that would still not pay your salary now. would it?

The best option is to negotiate their products at a very very steep discount price as payment for your past salary. You said they manufacture Noodles? your natural market place would be university hostels if you have the patience to wait for a higher payout. for quick buck, talk to a store owner near you... give them a few "sample" and explain the situation.

Don't accept their first offer, tell them you're talking to a few stores and you want to see what the others can offer.

You may even end up making more than your salary.

Since the agreement is based on your performance and you are not getting paid means something is wrong somewhere. Either with your performance or managment somthing ain't right. I'll advise you to start looking else where for another job and keep going to work till your salaries and your entitlement are paid. And it will be good u seek 4 a legal advise. NOTE: DON'T LEAVE YOUR JOB O UNTIL U GET PAID OR U GET ANOTHER JOB.

Once you have decided you have had enough, just get some friends to accompany you to the company. Calculate your total arrears and carry cartons of noodles equivalent to your pay.

tell your challenges to the head of human resources or the MD.that was what I did in unilag when almost 3 months my name is not yet on d payroll and I was left koboless at Xmas.

This is the reason I hate private companies. People get mind o. Someone worked for 3 months, you get mind to tell am to be patient. Who does that?

Their product is not selling? How is it your damn business or are you their sales Rep.?
Or is their a hidden clause that said you will be paid based on sales?

I won't advice you to get a lawyer unless that lawyer is free of charge say a good human rights activist from a government civil commission who knows their onions.
If its a good case, you will be compensated enough to start your own business, but don't owe your employees o.

so we did a job for a client, and she has not paid in months. she keeps on calling for support and we give her but the amazing thing is how she is always travelling on holidays abroad with her kids. Its a bit confusing to me you know, some employers no get conscience at all. And we wonder why some very bad things happen to people. They probably think they are doing him a favor by keeping him. See some people will continue messing with you until you raise hell, three months is a long time, maybe you should walk.
