I see nothing wrong with that. Men are sometimes expected to be in touch with their "feminine side" to function as a whole. There are other parts to the human psyche as well, like the "inner child". Life is too short to be a grown up all the time. Cartoons are a good way to unwind. Your ex is immature if she thinks that makes you less of a man or maybe childish.

Theres nothing wrong with watching cartoons and animations as an adult.. It makes for great entertainment and broadens your imagination.. I love animations even better than movies, its just in Nigeria they feel if youre still into these things your not mature, and these people judging you dont even know anything cos if they did they'll love animations too...

i gat elderlycousins that love action cartoon or would i say animated movies and still watch them.
i for one detest watching ladies ish like telemundo and romantic seasonal movie cos they are simple not my style. i can spend time watching documentaries, hollywood action movies and comedy a bit of naija comedy and yes ACtion cartoons and animations top of it is Avatar last Air bender(all seasons).

Mehn...there are two things involved in this case.
1) If the rate of the watching of the cartoon is high, maybe like everyday, then you really need deliverance.

2) It depends on the cartoon that you're watching. Remember there's a difference between cartoon and animation. I can't expect to see someone of your age watching some cartoons. I also watch all those animations but there are some that I can't just sit down to watch.

I am a die hard Naruto fan (there is even a thread for that here), Hunter X Hunter, Black Bullet, Shingeki no kyujin, Terraformars, Code Geass, so many other animes and read mangas (my signature is gotten from one of my favourite character - Pain). Even 3D animations are not left out. I admire the creativity of the person, the arts, the storyline etc. Heck, I had to get a software called 'Autodesk Maya' to try modelling some characters.

Countries that make these cartoons have what we call 'COSPLAY' and many people attend - even adults. They also wear the costume of their favourite character. Does that make the people in those advanced countries 'immature'?

I know they're the same but that's the name I just use to separate 'high class' cartoons from 'low class' cartoons. Even though TinTin was regarded as a cartoon there is no way you can compare the graphics to that of those other cartoons like Naruto. It's like comparing FIFA gameplay to Winning Eleven or PES
