A coalition of the South-south and South-East people under the auspices of the National Neighbourhood Watch programme, has accused political leaders of Igbo extraction who served in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan of sponsoring pro-Biafra groups to distract the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari from prosecuting them for corruption.

The coalition made the claim yesterday at a joint press briefing by their National Coordinator, Mr. Charles Inko-Tariah and the leader of the South-east arm of the group, Barr. Okpalaukwu E.C. Okpalaezeukwu.

The dismissed the agitation for secession by the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra(MASSOB) led by Mr. Ralph Uwazuruike and the recent agitation of Independent Peoples of Biafra(IPOB), by one Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, who was also running a Biafra radio station until recently.

“The agitation for Biafra is a way for Igbo leaders who served under the last administration to run away from been prosecuted for corruption. MASSOB has told people many lies.

Their leader has killed many Igbo people whose bodies are still in the mortuary.

Since 2010-2015, Igbo people were in key positions and roads are still bad in the South-east, so we should call these Igbo leaders to book first, before agitating for the State of Biafra.

So the Igbo people who stole in the last government are the ones behind these groups”, he alleged.

The group dismissed the Biafra agitation across the country and called on the agitators to shelve their planned rally against the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

It's very clear that the agitation is been sponsored and enjoyed the support of most Igbo politicians that served under the last regime.
The security community is well aware.

The Daura led EFCC does not recognize Biafra, so don't worry.

Its a futile effort.

Another conglomerate of favour seekers.

Denial is our problem hence Bokoharam got better part of us after Nigerian Police thought that killing their founder will end the movement.

If I may ask, why did Biafra Zionists invade Radio Nigeria Enugu during Jonathan's administration to declare the "State of Biafra"?

Why did Ogoni Peoples Liberation Movement declare Independence during Jonathan's administration?

You see, most groups lack kindergarten intelligence hence come out with ridiculous submissions after meetings.

Until olisa metuh comes out to deny Biafra before these allegations can be discounted, why is PDP so quiet on the Biafra issue?

Even when an APC Ministerial designate refuses to criticize Bokoharam before the Senate for fear of whatever and yet got approval to serve in this government?

Stop being a hypocrite.

Some present bigwigs in APC have at one time or the other apologized to Bokoharam yet their political career got boosted after that.

Why did MASSOB, Nnamdi Kanu, and IPOB ask NdiGbo, to vote Jonathan and PDP during the last election? In fact they declared a APC, an anti Igbo party! Hypocrite! Tufiakwa!

2015: MASSOB declares support for Jonathan

BY CHIDI NKWOPARA
OWERRI — The leadership of Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has thrown its weight behind President Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming presidential election.

The chief protagonist of MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike made the position of his group known in Owerri, when he played host to the new leadership of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

“MASSOB is in agreement that President Jonathan should run for the 2015 presidential election. I call on Ndigbo to give full support to President Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming general elections,” Uwazuruike said.

While recalling that he made a similar call in 2011, Chief Uwazuruike also said it had become pertinent to repeat the call as Nigeria moved slowly towards 2015 general polls.
Giving reasons Igbos must continue to support President Jonathan, the MASSOB boss said: “whichever way you look at the issue and person involved, he is our brother. He buried our leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, in a very fashionable manner.”
Uwazuruike recalled how Jonathan gave Ojukwu a state burial, stressing that “with this, he won the hearts of Ndigbo.”
On the sagging fortunes of APGA, Uwazuruike lamented that “APGA is supposed to be a national party but the past leadership of the party sadly transformed it into a near family business.”
While noting that he was not a registered member of any political party, Uwazuruike, however, said that he remained interested in knowing what happened to Ndigbo in all the registered political parties in the country.
Speaking exclusively to Vanguard after the event, a chieftain of APGA, Professor Francis Dike expressed regrets that Chief Victor Umeh had been chairman of the party for more than 12 years, describing it as a disgrace to Igbo race.
“He has to go. We have had more than enough of him. We must replace Umeh; we have replaced him, if we must move forward,” Dike said.
