Nigeria Investigating Connection Between Niger Delta Militants And IPOB - Sahara by WisdomCanada(m): 9:02am On Nov 12, 2015
SaharaReporters has exclusively obtained a leaked confidential memorandum of the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) showing that the office is investigating what are described as the “subversive activities” of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and their alleged alliance with some Niger Delta militants.

The memorandum, which underlines that the operations are in line with the NSA's directives regarding the confirmation of the alleged activities, references “Special Operations covering the South-East (SE) and the South-South (SS) Geo-political zones” by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

It described conversations between NSA officials and prominent militant leaders and stakeholders in the Niger Delta area. Included in the discussions was King Dodo II of the Bilabiri Mein Kingdom of Bayelsa State, who “acted as an intermediary between the NSA Team and a Militant Group known as Die Bullet Proof,” and the “Ebiril Group.”  The memo noted that these groups “control the axis of Azagbene/Egbemo-Anagalbiri territory in Bayelsa State.”

The date of the special operations, October 11-17, appears to correspond to the intensification of pro-Biafra demonstrations throughout the Southern States, suggesting a growing concern by security services over the threat posed by Biafran nationalist movements.

The NSA memo also sought authorization to negotiate a deal with these militant groups which included the “release of their members arrested by OP PULO SHIELD and currently detained in Okaka prison” and the rehabilitation of “78 members of the Group in a programme to be mutually agreed on by both parties.”

This leaked memo comes at a time when pro-Biafran protests and the arrest of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu have created an intense climate. The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, yesterday banned pro-Biafra demonstrations in the State on account of insecurity and fear of damage to property.

You are an idiot. All militant camps in Nigeria are showing up on satellite and IR surveillance photos. All phones in the Niger Delta are sucked for information to the callers, callers - callers etc.c with all permutations possible. Nigeria has acquired capabilities to take out anything within its borders. That they are talking to them is not panic but normal security procedures. They particularly want to draw relationship maps between all militant groups to get at the sponsors.

The zoo is living in a self imposed aura and pompousity.

What is needed is just another round of protest to bring it on it's knees

i salute IPOB

Why not channel all these energies to curb out the Fulani menace and the atrocious Boko Haram which has ransack Nigeria? You can delay their freedom but you can't take it away from them no matter your propaganda and media out-lash. BIAFRA is here to stay.

After Obasanjo's visit I knew something like this would come up.
Obasanjo is well known for violation of human rights and framing innocent people.
IPOB YOUTHS ARE NOT MILLITANTS!
You are looking for a reason to gun them down!
Let it be know that these youths have been protesting in peace.

Anyone under the illusion the IPOD protests aren't sponsored by PDP needs to have their brain checked for possible bugs.

IPOD/TAN are just two faces of the same coin. It has been proven Nnamumudi Kaulu was working/campaigning for PDP before the elections and after they failed to retain Jo boy, they fell back on their Plan B which is to derail the admin of Buhari using their foot soldiers TAN thugs masquerading as IPOD.

Only time is all we need to nip this trash in the bud.

M.K.O Abiola said he can do without the Igbo. He won a free and fair election, his master up north(babangida) annulled it. What did the yoruba did afterward? NOTHING!

His wife kudirat assasinated.. What happened to him too? The rest was story..

What of Ken Saro wiwa? An anti-Igbo and a pro-One-Nigeria..
The same one Nigeria govt.(Abacha) executed him...

What of Isaac Adaka boro?
He believed he can't do without Igbos. He declared a Niger-delta republic.. His agitation lasted Only 12 days.. And the rest was story...

If not for the backstabber down west, Igbos are the biggest Nightmare to the Hausa/fulani oligarchy.. Take it or leave it..

I guess u re yoluba: it is only ur tribe that will respond with harsh and unmannered words yet if an Igbo insult u , u claim they are abusive.
Security measures I laugh: since BH have been ravaging NE ur security personnels haven't seen it necessary to unravel the sponsor of the deadly sect.
Facts remain that Biafra puts fear in the Zoo
