That figure cant be correct, Soldiers are more on the frontlines against Boko Haram insurgency, so if 90,000 policemen have died from BH insurgency, then how many soldiers and civilians have died in total? I dont think BH total casualty in Nigeria is more than 30,000.

To me the IG shouldn't be talking figures like this. 90,000 men is such such a huge number and I doubt it. Funny thing is, this is the first time I am really hearing the police give such a huge figure for fatalities, they always downplay the numbers.
Perhaps there is some compensations expected from a high fatality number in the force. How many officers are there in one state in the first place?
At a loss of 1000 officers, the police would have a big deal at hand, talk less x 90.
Someone needs to vet this claims thoroughly by names.
