have you thought about how much petrol a v-12 buggati or g-wagon would gulp for the same distance run by a hiace bus or danfo.....
wrong analogy ... Presidential jet is the same as commercial.. Boeing 747 being used by commercial airline is the same type used by president .. Not a superior jet... So it means the president owns private danfo in your analogy.. Gerrit now ?

Nigeria would be a fitting country to mock about, unfortunately my people are trapped in that hell-hole.
So, the president should turn to a bird, flying to overseas for international meetings?

ode.

A jet engine takes serious beating when in flight.

The endurance of any aircraft is tied to the fuel capcity and the strain the engines can take.

So if a commercial jet has an endurance of 12 hrs it will not carry fuel that will last it for 18hrs.

Are you following me?

A jet that is retrofitted with a more resilient engine that has an endurance of 18hrs will thus have to carry enough fuel to last 18hrs flight.

These retrofitted engines are more rugged just like your diesel engine in a 12 wheeler truck.

Will you compare fuel consumption for a larger 12 wheeler engine truck to a normal diesel van?

Look at it in the light of V6 engines vs V12 engines in a Jaguar saloon.

A V6 engine for the same model will not consume as much fuel as a V12 of the same model and brand.

Therefore the V6 engine will usually come with a smaller fuel tank than the V12.

Fuel adds to the weight of any aircraft and before you will attain lift (flight) you will need a greater thrust (engine power) to take off and maintain flight

Foolish u. Ur drift is cursed.
Tell us now, apart from internal aesthetics which are superior in PAF what are the major specific differences between the NGR 001 737 luxury Jet to that of it's commercial variant used by local airlines.
As regards engine capacities, navigational equipment etc.
List them out with verifiable facts afterall, it's on the premix u claimed that those in PAF are far more expensive to maintain.

Also the over two billion that has been spent so far in Buharis 6 months includes Jonah-daft debt of over 1.3Billion naira on those crafts as at last year. so whats ur point again?

During the period 31 May 2015 till date, the Fleet expended the sum of N1,358,910,962.75 to settle outstanding liabilities carried over from last year till May 2015.

You should not forget that there are basic operating costs which cannot be reduced because someone wishes it so. These costs are known within the industry so that so government spinning can change that.

The article writer obtained the information from the industry facts and so they are facts.

You think I will accept the 2bn lie?

Do you know how much it cost to operate a 737 flight?

The last time Buhari visited Duara and his precious cows, he took off from Abuja, stopped over at Kaduna before landing at Katsina.

An advance team of 3 helicopters was already waiting for him. He then boarded the presidential chopper to Duara with one military and police helicopters escorting him.

How much do you think all that flying will cost?

Buhari, Osinbanjo and Aisha have used the presidential fleet like cab service since they were sworn in.

It is also on record that one of the first visible orders given as head of state was to order for NGR001 to be fueled for him to go on a thank you tour to Chad and Niamey less than 48hrs of assuming power.

The fact remains that not a week goes by that the Presidential fleet is not being deployed.

Even Obasanjo rides courtesy of the Presidential fleet whenever Buhari sends him to represent nigeria.

The IDP visits by Aisha and Zahra to the NE are not by Aero but with the fleet.

Even the trip to west Germany, the US, India, Ghana and even Atiku's daughters wedding was courtesy of the fleet.

We are yet to mention Osunbade's ceremonial visits.

So if they tell you that they have not spent up to 2bn to which 75% is for offsetting debts then they are lying to your foolish brain.

Sir, only a fool believes any information from the presidency so u don't have to bother ur self. If book haram strikes and kills 200 civilians the news we get is that Nigerian military struck and killed 200 Boko haram fighters and more lies day after day. We are only being patient , 2019 is at the corner.

Is lying part of your DNA, PMB families have never fly any of the presidential fleet without PMB, why are you lying. And for the President even is he is going from Abuja to Kogi he will have to use the Nigeria Air-force one cos that's his official fleet. He is the president less you forget... but just for the Presidency alone unlike when PEJ fly it up and down... Have you ever see in any PMB traveling and you see his wife with him not to talk of leading the entourage, That presidential.

Is there a reason why there are 10 aircrafts in the fleet? In my opinion 5 jets are okay. One each for the President, Vice President, First family, high ranking minister (eg finance), and one spare. Then one helicopter. Anything after this na long throat
