Total votes rejected is part of total votes cancelled. Add valid votes to total cancelled votes and you'll realize that the figure is almost same as total votes recorded. Thank me later. |

snailspeed:Stop posting rubbish. Cancelled votes, in this case, specifically means the sum of eligible number of voters where accreditation and voting didn't take place, given the number of registered voters in that area. 1 Like |

obailala: Is this your best attempt to escape your blunder? If you apologise, I will forgive you. Total VALID votes = 459, 983 Total vote Rejected = 21, 351 Total votes CANCELLED = 49, 953 Total votes cast (VALID+REJECTED+CANCELLED) = 531, 287 Total ACCREDITTED voters = 510, 208 It really is that simple. Even if we subtract the cancelled from total accredited or from total cast, the figures will still not tally |
Re: Shameless Rigging Of Kogi Election Exposed - Pic by snailspeed: 1:44pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
dustmalik: No son! Cancelled votes and rejected votes are not the same thing. Rejected votes are votes that dont meet the voting criteria e.g. votes that were cast across the line or votes that are too faint to recognise. Cancelled votes are votes cancelled because of election irregularities. Even the Channels picture shows that clearly |

snailspeed: Mr. Kucha said the margin of votes between Messrs Audu and Wada is 41,353. And that the election was inconclusive because the total number of registered voters in 91 polling units, in 18 local government areas, where election was cancelled is 49,953. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/193724-inec-declares-kogi-governorship-election-inconclusive.html I hope you would respect yourself after this |

DropShot: First of all, you obviously didnt even look at the Channels picture because both are clearly differentiated there. Secondly, saying the figure is almost the same is very funny. Why should it be "almost" the same in an election? Haha Didnt you see how Jega had to tell returning officers to go back and reconcile their figures before coming to make an announcement? How can you make a valid election result declaration on figures that are "almost" the same? Na wa |

Who ever came up with this analysis in Channels should as a matter of urgency be sanctioned or suspended and a public apology announced. It is very misleading and a dangerous analysis to put up in a major station like channels on a sensitive topic. They have a reputation to protect, I don't know what the analysis was about, but this slide bearing Channels station is going to hunt them later. |

snailspeed:Now you want to force me to go into even more details but I dont have time for that for now cos I'm on the move... But are you aware the 49, 953 represents the total number of registered voters in the 91 polling units (in 18 LGAs) where election was cancelled?... Are you even aware that the 49,953 includes both people who haven't collected their PVCs, people who didn't come out to vote and people who actually came out to vote?.... I have made it clear to you that adding the 49,953 to the number of votes is an invalid approach but you still insist that you know what you are talking about... I have made it clear to you that Channels TV made an error by just blankly adding those figures but you still insist that Channels TV did the right thing?... Why dont you visit the INEC website or other websites to get a proper breakdown instead of relying solely on this snapshot from Channels TV? http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/193724-inec-declares-kogi-governorship-election-inconclusive.html 1 Like |

irondome: Oh my word! Cant you see that even if you take that out, the number of votes cast still doesnt tally with the accredited by a big margin? The key is number of accreditted my friend. Get it? Number of accreditted! You guys are just going around in circles. It seems you are finally tired of your pathetic defense that cancelled votes is the same as rejected. |

Re: Shameless Rigging Of Kogi Election Exposed - Pic by snailspeed: 1:56pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
dustmalik: Nope, cancelled votes mean cancelled votes. If an election did not take place, then there is no vote to cancel. This is a sad commentary on Nigeria really. Any INEC official that says votes were cancelled in a place where election never took place is an olodo. If election never took place, then you can say the election itself was cancelled, not that the votes were cancelled. This is really sad |

snailspeed:481,334 is the total number of vote cast meaning that about 20k got accredited but choose not to vote...the 49k is a stand alone figure of total number if voters that registered in the 59 unit in 18 LG where rerun is expected... Nobody is at fault here but the rubbish journalism from the best media house in the land. Moreover, CNN and fox could do worse. So Mr. Snail speed gba ebure nobody cheated or rigged..i think last Saturday election would have gone as the most peaceful and fair in recent years despite being supervised by just NPF and civil defence without any military incursion and intimidation. Re: Shameless Rigging Of Kogi Election Exposed - Pic by obailala(m): 2:02pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
snailspeed:Lol... 49,953 is total number of 'registered' voters in the areas were election was cancelled; it is not the total number of 'accredited' voters. Have you considered, what if only 30,000 of those have PVCs? Out of the 30,000 that have PVCs, what if only 15,000 came out on election day and were accredited?.... You cannot just add the full 49,953 to the number of votes and then start comparing side-by-side with 'number of accredited voters.' Not all of the 49,953 were accredited. If this isn't still clear to you, then I suggest you sleep over it, maybe your head would be cleared by tomorrow. |

obailala: Haha. It is so interesting how you and your friends have been comparing notes to try and put a spin to this. At least, I have to give you guys credit for working hard for your pay. You have even searched the whole of Google to try and figure it out. Una try At the end, you still fail exam. If only 15, 000 were accredited, INEC will already know that and then they wouldnt even paste the overall registered in the final result released. Nice try. And even with all the various spins you have tried to put on it, your figures still dont tally and will never tally. That means, even if we take one of your pathetic excuses for the hoax, INEC will still have announced a result where the figures were wrong. Its that simple |
