Zhul001:lol. Very true. It seems that half of the poplation in abuja are corp members. Whenever you see them discussing in pairs, snatches of their conversation I hear is always about how to land ppa. 1 Like |

All I ask for is a western state, aside Lagos but with close proximity, where there is constant electricity supply. I don't care if it is rural or urban. As long as the power is there and my bulb is shining. Any ideas anyone? 2 Likes |

Also, is it possible to put two states from the same geographical region as first and third choice? |

Richiy:Osun state should lead the chart in terms of constant electricity supply in s/w but I don't just get your "close proximity" part. But also bear in mind that Mr Aregbe isn't in the right frame of mind to pay corpers. I can also recommend Ilara-mokin near Akure in Ondo State, power no de comot for that side. |
Re: Know The Pros And Cons Of The States You Want To Choose For Nysc by Fkhalifa(m): 6:48pm On Jan 21, 2016 |
slimfit2:bro i'm also thinking of choosing osun but the state Alawee i heard isnt runninf in ATM, Can you please give more infos on Osun state for impending corpers |
Re: Know The Pros And Cons Of The States You Want To Choose For Nysc by slimfit2(m): 9:57pm On Jan 21, 2016 |
Fkhalifa:I live in Osogbo and know a bit about some major towns(ife, ede, ilesa). The state is predominantly a civil servant state with relatively "low cost of living" so to say. Accommodation is fair with transportation very very cheap. Now my corper friends no de collect alawee(fully employed state workers dey manage half salary cef) so basically na federal alawee be the constant. Other variables include private earnings and how industrious and creative one can be. Can basic 19,800 be effective in Osun state? Hmm, yes it can be cos life no too hard for dis side. |

I'm a PCM from OAU, Ife (2016 batch A). Studied Metallurgical & Materials Engineering (Second class upper division). I'm of Lagos origin. I'm planning on choosing Ogun, Delta & Kogi in that order. Basically, I don't really wish to go far & I want a state where I can get a good PPA. Pls can those that are serving/served in those states above kindly share their experience with me and probably advise me in relation to this. Thanks in anticipation. |

raphemmanuel:Kwara state gov. Does not pay a dim! Nor would your ppa pay you. You'll only depend on FG alawee, plus you pay like 1k monthly for accommodation. I have friends serving there. |

Fellow Nairalanders I will advise you guys to do your registration on time to avoid story that touch, and for the females avoid northern states if you don't want life to be a living hell, currently serving in Kano, even the full Khaki kit can't be worn alone where I'm staying and it's in the main city, wear trouser and be ready to be stoned, even as a Christian you have to cover your hair, get ready to buy Kaftans to replace whatever cloth you are bringing from home, the weather is harsh, good water is scarce, electricity on the average,no state allawee but you might be lucky your PPA pays and also food is much. Security level is very poor, even aside from BH people if you don't understand hausa I won't advise you to go out alone,I can go on and on. My 1kobo 4 Likes |

Olochedavido:They isnt much to say about the place "ika" only the people are not friendly both to akwa ibomites and visitors alike. they are still living in the dark age of barbarism and cannibalism. No bank is around that area except you come out to Abak town as @then oh don't know about now. 1 Like |
