Since this re-run cut across all LGAs except one, I started nursing fears there is a chance the APC has rigged in all the other LGAs while the public, and the PDP have invested most of their attention on southern Ijaw. But I think they are just fears and nothing more

Of course it would always be that way once you've got an inconclusive Olodo in Aso Rock.
Better now than before, at least now they are taking time to ensure votes count. If it was the other guy in power it would have been concluded long long ago with the PDP having 200,000 votes while the APC has 13 votes. That's what it used to be in the clueless corrupt past! Sorry but the era of announcing PDP 1 million, other parties 50,000 within 6 hours of an election or even before an election is concluded is gone.

PDP in Bayelsa State is just too soft.
I wonder why they allowed apc to even exist in that state.
I'm sure Rivers won't allow that

You are correct, my brother.
Rivers won't allow them to breathe and my State, Akwa Ibom won't tolerate, accommodate or absorb them.
We see them as party of children of the bond woman.

#bayelsadecides: Gov Dickson Accuses APC Of Killings, APC Dismisses Claim

Some security operatives and civilians were feared killed following alleged violence in Ekeremor local government area during Bayelsa State supplementary gubernatorial poll, yesterday.

Though the exact number of deaths in could not be confirmed, Governor Seriake Dickson, in strong terms, condemned alleged electoral malpractice and violence which marred the election in Brass, Nembe, Ekeremor town and parts of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had scheduled the supplementary poll to hold yesterday after the December 5, 2015 gubernatorial election in the state failed to produce a winner. Chief Timpre Sylva is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the poll. APC is the ruling party at the federal level.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the governor accused APC chieftains of masterminding the killing of innocent Bayelsans in Brass, Ekeremor, Nembe and Southern Ijaw and wondered why the APC would kill to capture power.

$2.1bn Arms Deal: Key Questions Goodluck Jonathan ‘must Answer’

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has sent an open letter to former President Goodluck Jonathan seeking explanations from him on “what you knew or had reason to know on the apparent diversion and sharing of over $2 billion meant for purchase of arms to fight Boko Haram.”

The letter dated 8 January 2016 and signed by SERAP executive director Adetokunbo Mumuni reads in part: “SERAP is sending you this open letter to seek explanations from you, as former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, on what you knew, or had reason to know on the apparent diversion and sharing of the over $2 billion meant to purchase arms to empower Nigerian soldiers to fight Boko Haram.”

“SERAP considers that there is enough material in the public domain to suggest that over $2 billion meant for purchase of arms to equip Nigerians soldiers fighting Boko Haram in the North East of the country was diverted and shared among high-ranging government and party officials under your watch as President and Commander-in-Chief of Nigerian Armed Forces.”

“SERAP and indeed Nigerians reserve the right to pursue justice through appropriate national and international accountability mechanisms to ensure that everyone involved in this heinous crime is brought to justice in accordance with international standards of fairness.”

“Is it correct to suggest that the budget of over $2 billion to purchase arms for Nigerian soldiers fighting Boko Haram in the North-East of the country was authorised by you or your office? In other words, did your former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) seek your approval to collect from the Central Bank of Nigeria the over $2 billion meant for purchase of arms for Nigerian soldiers?”

sorry but this is an election update thread for bayelsa rerun election..
You can create a thread for the issue...
while Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP)are at it,they can also send a letter to former president obasanjo to explain how he spent $16billion on power and yet there was nothing to show for the huge monies spent...

they can also extend another letter to the current president PMB,cos under his watch as ptdf chairman, billions went missing and he said he knew nothing about such monies shocked shocked ..also tell him to explain in detail how abacha did not steal any money .....! I hope they can do so since they want to claim they are fighting corruption!
