Happy New Year once again everyone and I hope this year brings every joy and happiness as important and crucial goals are achieved. Also, hope this year is finally the year for the ladies who have been waiting for their Mr. Right to appear. Waiting can be frustrating and as a matter of fact, it requires both luck and effort to get not just the man but the man with the ring. If you want the ring, here are five things you need to do on your own part and pray lady luck sees your efforts and smiles on you.

Reduce Your Pickiness: Don’t get me wrong here. This doesn’t mean you should reduce your check list or compromise your standard but reducing your level of pickiness simply means being realistic with your expectations in a man; except of course you want a spirit husband. If you want a man with N20Million in his account, a nice physique and you still want him to spend at least 14 hours with you in a day; you might not just be asking for too much, you might be asking for someone who has a clone of himself.

Make new friends: Making new friends doesn’t necessarily mean male friends. Just look to making new friends; both male and female and be someone people would want to have as a friend yourself. That is, be approachable. You can’t expect to have friends if you’re not friendly yourself.

Go out more often: The more you stay indoors, the less your chances of meeting any Mr. Let alone Mr.Right. You need to go out more often. Not necessarily changing your personality if you’re the indoor type but at least not turning down every invitation to go out and hang out with friends. If you’re always indoors, it means you probably want to get cool with you male neighbour or a guy on your street.

Work on your physicality: If you think physical appearance isn’t as important as character at the first meeting with someone, then think again. Even if your character is nicer than Mother Theresa’s and your appearance is like… you know, off the radar, then you can’t blame anyone for judging your book by its cover. Also if you’re like overweight, you don’t expect to look overly attractive to well chiselled out guy. For first time meeting’s sake, work on your physicality.

Be open minded: This is where many females get it very wrong. When guys approach, it’s not always with the plan of asking you out. Fine, that might come in the finish line but you do not necessarily have to jump into conclusions. Not being open minded enough has been the bane in the relationship ignition of some ladies but if your aim is getting the ring in 2016, allow the guy approach you and don’t restrict yourself by yourself. Seeing a guy at a party in short and round neck, using a blackberry curve 2 doesn’t necessarily mean he’s not well to do.

So, like many other ladies out there, if you want the ring in 2016, help nature to help you. Don’t let relationship life be the only thing on your head and don’t totally discard it. Apply wisdom and you’ll achieve your aim before the years runs out. Have a lovely year ahead.
