Why not ask that all the chocolate factories in Switzerland should have been located in the South West of Nigeria or Cote d'Ivoire?

It is this kind of thinking that has stunted our development, we take the easy way out and not ponder on what we really want to achieve. We complain of the menace of Tankers on our roads yet want all refineries only in one part of the country. Have you thought of the possible impact on the roads due to this alone? Is PMS or diesel only used in the areas where crude is found?

FYI, a refinery in the US, flies in crude just to refine for its local catchment area. Refinery is a business and so long as the investor can make money, he should be free to site his refinery anywhere in the country.

Don't disturb yourself Dangote isn't buy crude from Nigeria

Dangote refinery isn't planning to buy crude from Nigeria. He is planning to buy from Gabon Ghana and Angola.

So your threats is already haunting you.

Hmmmmm...... you may be partly right or wrong. Though I believe he will probably need heavy oil which isn't Nigeria's type of oil for his petrochemical products. Heavy oil yields heavier products that light oil, hence why he may look outside Nigeria to get that. But I believe light oil will be sourced in Nigeria for as long as it's available to buy rather than looking elsewhere for what he can buy in Nigeria.

I am glad Ijaw elders and sane Nigerians can see clearly the underhand tactics of this Northern govt to further rape and weaken the South with Federal might but the firm resolve of a people will checkmate them. People had better wake up and defend their tribes and lands because this government is purely operating along ethnic and religious divides.

Good one...My question is, why are some people crying "crucify him, he is a criminal, get him, kill him", while they can go any length to defend theirs.

Please has anyone issued bench warrant for Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, with 1trn Naira fraud cases hanging on his head.
The issue is that some people think others are still their mumu who they can command anyhow.

If you want Tompolo, go and arrest him, stop threatening innocent elders, nonsense

Nna nawa oh, I don close book, matter don end.

Elders wey get sense! Army, Police, DSS, Civil Defence, Navy, Customs, Airforce, Man O'war, yellow fever no know where Tompolo dey, na Elders thinking how to make ends meet una wan give intelligence job of trafficking Tompolo down.
Wonders shall not seize in my time.

Its pple like u that require a total breakdown of articles, before u can understand the vagaries.

Nigeria is losing #100m/day due to those bombings. Refineries are shutdown due to those bombings. Most likely, fuel will become scarce, due to those bombings. There will be reduced electric power, due to those bombings.

Pple like u will come to Nairaland and abuse d govt when all these things come into play.

How will strangers or even indigenes carryout such movements, that lead to d bombings and d community closest to it will be unaware(fishermen, farmers, transporters, marketwomen, layabouts etc)?

What the FG requires, is information that will lead to arrests. I can understand village heads not understanding d FG's request, but not the educated youths(u), who is supposed to explain it to their elders.

Incase u haven't realised, d decimation of BH was citizen blind- a lot of civilians were killed indiscriminately! U are on Nairaland, making ignorant statements, while pple in d villages are escaping for their lives, b4 d govt starts another Zaria massacre with their lives. The elders are being encouraged to give them up, before they loose their subjects. Hope u know say, over a month after, enquiry never even start for d Zaria massacre(over 700citizens killed, corpses missing)?

Get real!

Na wah oo... dangote who owns the refinery decides to locate the refinery in Lagos you are complaining. Even if he locates the refinery in sambissa you have NO RIGHT to complain. Abi I fit complain if you decide to relocate your family to Lagos? It's your business right?

What every right thinking person should be asking is why can't state government in the south south build refineries and sell refined PMS to FG? What is stopping a state like Akwa-ibom, Rivers, Delta Cross River, Bayelsa etc from building refineries that will not only provide job opportunities for their citizens but also provide a source of revenue fo the states. AND PLEASE DON'T TELL ME STATES don't HAVE THE RESOURCES TO BUILD REFINERIES

Posts like this, sustain my hope in a better Nigeria.

This is aiding and abetting criminality. If Tomopolo is wise he shouldn't allow his people to suffer for his sins. Odi village was razed down because of a few miscreants....and nothing happened to Nigeria or OBJ.
If you are not guilty then go and clear your name
Simple....

Obj is still alive. Dont be too quick to dismiss odi case. Also, you want to say that odi was destroyed and nothing happened. Therefore buhari can order another razing of niger delta.hear yourself and tell yourself the truth if nigeria is one by your statement.

do you think the citizen's awareness will remain the same all through years? looking at ur comment, Seems u ar emancipating for civil unrest in the country. Let the truth be told cos what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Speaking without sentiments the FG should retrace its steps on the tompolo-ijaw elders threat approach instead of using the odi village Massacre as a yard stick.

This Govt is clueless and daft in approaches. Yes, I say NO to criminality and bombing but how in govt's rational mind threaten the local communities and Ijaw Leaders to be held responsible, are they security Agents?. If the Govt thinks staying in local communities is all needed to get the militants, let N'Army plant its intels among the local communities.

How many Northern Leaders or communities were threatened because of BokoHaram? So if OPC starts its wahala in southwest, I should be afraid that Buhari will come and bomb us all?

I'm afraid, Buhari and N'Army have no regards for human lives. I'm a yoruba man, but any attempt to attack or level a local communities because of Militants is pure genocides.

From shiites killings to Biafra killings, another N'Delta killings loading. How many more Nigerians will be killed by this useless and harmless Govt?

If Buhari continues like this, Nigeria may not last because all the regions will have their own share of his maiming and they'll fire back in due time.

If N'Army can't use their intelligence to locate Tompolo within Nigeria, they should rather be ashamed than to drag the communities into this issues.
Bro lovely comment. Watch how deserted this thread is because it is against the govt. This man called buhari will push Nigeria to the brink if this rubbish continues. We are almost back to the military regime

We do not need that your type of development that is based on ethicity, witch-hunting, victimisation, vendatta, and sycophancy.

So the development of Nigeria lies in the elders of Niger-delta going to arrest Tompolo but not in the elders of the North arresting BH?

In Akwa Ibom there is a refinery (Amakpe) that was started in the administration of Governor Attah but is still at stage 1, years after; Though it was in partnership with private investors.

Nothing has been said or done about it since Attah left office 9 years ago because of political bad blood with his successor.

Is ICC blind to US invasion of Afghanistan/Iraq/Syria etc where lots of innocent people were killed? Is ICC blind to Russia invasion of Crimea where innocent people are killed? Is ICC blind to the human right abuse going on in North Korea and China? ICC is scam, ICC Is western watchdog for African leaders and we are wiser now.
Though I agree with you but Nigeria is still a baby compared to the US and co. Our economy is much dependent on external factors so at this point when we are at our lowest we can't afford any form of sanctions.

I hope the ijaw elders won't shout rule of law and human rights when tompolo is finally arrested. The FG is only using psychology for these elders and they are fooling themselves.

Later they will claim marginalisation and Govt insensitivity but Govt properties are being destroyed and they are insensitive.

Some of us will be back here to remind others about what these elders are saying now
