There are different stories on the origin of valentine’s celebration. Valentine was jailed because he went against Claudius’s decree.Valentine became intimate with Asterius’ daughter while he was in prison. Asterius was the jailer man.It is said that Claudius gave a decree that Valentine should be executed and valentine is believed to have been executed on February 14, 270 AD.
