DJBIGGY:
Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has stated while Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting with the Executive Council of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), that though the party campaigned using change mantra, it has been taken by Nigerians to mean that as soon as Buhari was sworn in, the next day, things would change completely in Nigeria.

The minster maintained that Nigerians must understand that things do not happen that way because the country cannot continue to be doing things the same way and expect a different result.

“Yes, we know what the ills are; corruption, indiscipline… but it’s not restricted to people at the top. Each one of us has a role to play,” he said.

According to him, it is the reason the Buhari-led government is coming up with the ‘Change Begins with You Campaign’. “The malaise crippling the fabric of the society today, ‘everybody is guilty,” he noted.

The Minister observed that an average Nigerian, given the slightest opportunity, would cheat, noting that corruption cuts across professions, age and gender in the country.

“Nigeria cannot adequately account for the lives that had been lost simply because some pharmacists decided to adulterate drugs. We cannot quantify how many lives we have lost because of the danfo drivers that wake up in the morning to drink paraga before hitting the road. Most of the traffic bottleneck in Nigeria today is due to indiscipline,” he said.

those who are enemies are the cheerleaders of this rudderless govt. Speaking out and opposition ain't wishing our nation bad rather, it keep the govt on its toes and ultimately improves performance. Opposition is an essential ingredient of democracy. It is the incumbent that must get use to it.

Still pained?
Speaking out to the opposition indeed, with pessimism.
Rubbish..

OLADD:
Can somebody drum it into the ears of Lai Mohammed to stop playing on people's intelligence? Nigerians are not expecting overnight turnaround in national outlook but can recognise a positive change when they see one.

Definitely, a positive change can never be accompanied with;

1. Increase in Electricity Tariff without steady power.

.2. Increase in price of kerosene without palliatives to the vulnerable poor masses.

3. Skyrocketing exchange rate at over N300 to a Dollar.

4. Increase in feeding allowance at the presidency from N500m to N1.7b

5. Presentation of a national budget to the NA without vetting or detailed scrutiny thereby resulting in unprecedented ignominy.

6. Disjointed or non-existent economic policy direction that scares away FDI .

7. Lack of intelligence blueprint in tackling terrorism, kidnapping, armed robbery and other social menaces.

These are the issues bothering Nigerians and not necessarily been over-expectant. We are no dumbs

What this man said is basically the truth, Nigerians need a change in mentality but I say unto you Mr. Lai, come 2019 if Nigerians are not satisfied with the way things are,we would rather vote for a nobody than to vote APC again. Remember it's not like Buhari was the best candidate Nigeria could produce during the last election rather Nigerians were just tired of the fisherman from Otuoke and his clueless government.....be warned!
Re: Nigerians Misunderstood Apcs Change Mantra - Lai Mohammed by frisky2good(m): 5:05pm On Feb 07, 2016
That you are a criminal does not make everyone else a criminal. Stop following people blindly to the extent that you are willing to give yourself a bad name just to prove your point.

funlord:
smiley

It would have made no difference. Nigerians would have still voted out the administration of the clueless buffoon regardless!

The message he is trying to pass across is simply nothing but the truth! I'm sure you and I also engage in corrupt practices on a small scale in our daily lives if we should be honest.

The message only offends the sensibilities of the unreasonable, the daft or hate filled wailers!

It's high time this information minister stops talking. You deceived Nigerians with your change mantra and now you are coming here to give excuses. Anyway I have been in Lagos state for long and know how you guys have been governing then. I never believe you. It's only the gullible Nigerians you deceived. I dey sit down look when it's time the wind of change will blow you too.

Kai, if it so happens that the majority of the coments above reflect the feelings pf average nigerians then I see us in serious deep shit...so u cant acknowedge the simple fact that the change we need has to come from our attitudinal thinking and behaviour...stop masking the truth...the cancker worm of curroption and indiscipline has eaten too deep into almost all of our affairs...primary school...bribery to pass common entrance same in secondary sch, police the same, workers, the same, girls sleep with bosses to gain promotion. people dont win by merit anymore...u have to just know d right ppl...FACT....if we dont change these attitudes as individuals in this nation...dont expect any miraculous change even if d govt decides to do all by it self. the real change starts from individuals. yet all ppl can say ere is...lying mohammed, apc dis, apc dat...abeg...lets grow dis nation and quit dis wailing attitude. I think what the SS should do right now is develop at an astonishing rate despite the low oil price. Part of the appeal of APC was that Fashola, the comrade governor in his first tenure, and most other APC governors were making giant strides in their states when PDP was still the ruling party.

If PDP governors can do that while the APC party goofs as the ruling party, PDP can claim the nation's seat in 2019 (though I would rather a different party came on the scene because these APC rouges will find their way back).
