i used to be a fan of joseph prince cos i loved his preachings on tbn and there he doesnt speak controversially and weneva he spoke something i dont understand, i will dismiss it dat propably i did not understand him.
Last year my fiancee bought me dis his book destined to reign cos she knows how i download his sermons on youtube. D man is very subtle oo. I didnt understand it at first but wen i read d book halfway, it became clear he was teaching eternal security. 2peters 2 give a detailed description of false teachers and should sound a warning to all those who follow them.

My dear, I really tried connecting spiritually with that guy, I couldn't. Once I picked his book "Right Believing", I couldn't go pass Chapter One. I kept picking and dropping that book. The little I read, I found it really Watered Down. I never really raise any brows till guys started talking about him here. It's well. But some Brethren are quite taken by him.

Joseph Prince is just a polished Calvinist who on coats Calvinism with motivational pep talk.

Calvinism doctrine has some absurd conclusions which most Calvinists seldom follow through. Here are a few;
1. Jesus died for some and not all humans. The unfortunate ones he never died for will end up in hell and there's nothing you can do about them. They can't even repent, many if they did, God would never accept their repentance

2. A born again man can commit ANY sin including the worst of them; apostasy and still end up in heaven

3. God saves whoever He wishes to save regardless of their will/choice

There's no cherry picking here. If he said that its wrong. Whatever context he used it is irrelevant. What is wrong is wrong. Same way pastor Chris said that masturbation is not a sin.

Also Joseph Prince preaches "once saved, always saved". That's the greatest blasphemy of all time.

It is still wrong. smiley

Of course olaa, I wasn't attacking you. I cant stoop to such level.
I was only showing you how texts can be lifted out of context, and misused.
I'm actually surprised that you could not notice my play with words.

This is what I did. I made a full statement, then demonstrated how some folks pick out the sensational bits out of context.

Uhmmm. Come to think of it, if you couldn't notice something so obvious, how can I trust your assessment of more weighty stuff.

Why do you still find it difficult to understand?
Always sticking to what you think is right. I have said A LOT concerning this!

Change of nature(spiritual by faith in God) is not change of action(physical).

Your nature is changed because you believe in christ but your actions are not changed because you believe but through the transformation of the mind.

That a person who is addicted to porn has accepted the finish work of christ today, does not make the person to COMPLETELY do away and lose desire in porn that same day(NO!) because there will be a lot of temptation that sometimes the person goes back to it again and comes out again(if you will be sincere with yourself), though the person has been changed from the nature of sin and death to the nature of new life in christ(born-again; which comes only by faith). Now, it will only take the transformation and renewal of one's mind, to start believing rightly which will lead to breaking the addiction force of porn.

When a person is not believing rightly, even after being saved the person cannot live rightly.

What brings up right living is right believing which leads to transformation of the mind.

Please try to understand this, I have tried my best on this but you are still getting it in a very wrong way because the Gospel is always clear when you see the REVELATION behind the letters.
Big lie! You ofcourse have no biblical proof for these. Infact you interpretation of the bible in respect to the nature of sin is wrong! I'm a living testimony to the fact that the blood of Jesus is so potent that it can save from nature as well as actions. Infact at salvation I got the power that I hated and could nomore commit my past sins. It was not a gradual process. It was an instantaneous one! On the cross, he declared it is finished. Everything was finished. When he saves and sanctify you, he does not partly deliver you from sin(nature) and leave you to battle with the actions. It's total victory! Once again i'm a testimony!

Please, sincerely answer this questions.

Does accepting christ make you SINLESS in FLESH by works? Quote from the scripture! And list out people who lived a sinless life after accepting christ.
PROVE WITH SCRIPTURE!!!

Will you go to heaven because you don't commit sin as a believer?

Does falling into temptation of sin, makes a believer a sinner? If yes, peter and paul still witnessed sin functioning on their flesh even after accepting christ, were they tagged as sinners? And if you say they asked for forgiveness after the sin, show me in the scriptures where they prayed the prayer of forgiven.

Can sin hinder one from heaven? If yes, what happened in the case of moses, abraham, samson(who died by suicide), peter(who committed hypocrisy Gal 3).

What is the difference between the system of forgiveness between the new testament and the old testament?

Why are we sinners before God?

Why are we righteous before God?

What is the reality of christ death?

Did christ die on the cross so that we CAN NEVER commit sin and become SINLESS like God? If yes, how did he die to make it happen? Was he ever under the influence of sin OVER FLESH on the cross? PROVE WITH SCRIPTURE!!!

Is there any difference between the righteous life you are living now(as you claimed) and the righteousness of God?

But Jesus said to beware of false prophets? The tenor of these teachings negate:

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2 of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3 And this will we do, if God permit.
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame
Hebrews 6:1-6

Why did Jesus and the Apostles command us to watch and pray and be sober if there were no dangers of backsliding once we 'believe'?

Good question. Why are believers to watch and pray if there are no dangers of backsliding once we believe? Lets hope they will answer this question. cool

shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Dont you know that,''he that abideth in Him sins not''!
Bro, it appears you people think grace is only forgiveness! It includes forgiveness and Power to be victorious over sin! And both are accessed by faith! If you have no true victory, then your faith is a hoax! Paul said in Ephesians 5,'' let no man deceive you with vain words for because of these things the judgement of God comes...''
Meaning avoid deceptive people that indirectly encourage you in sin!

These guys have either forgotten or are ignorant of the part where Jesus said only overcomers will inherit all things. This includes overcoming sin. They should read the verse below up to verse 8.

"He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be His God and he shall be my son" (Revelation 21:7).

Yo! OLA, vooks, muafrika2, be careful not to judge a matter out of context. Abeg.

The Holy Spirit is a comforter of Children of God, not their convicter, not their condemner.

He convicts THE WORLD, NOT THE BELOVED.

Be careful when you go around labelling people as false teachers or devils. Be very careful to understand scripture, and please be careful to listen adequately by the spirit to people before you judge their message. Abeg.

Joseph prince is a teacher full of the grace, power and word of God. His word, works, and testimony align with the scripture he teaches.

Pastor Chris is also a very anointed man of God.(his own no be here sef. He's a kingdom advancer, he has motivated similar men and they are using Gods power and influence to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, why will you come around and criticize people like that? Nawa o).

Listen to people like this and judge from the word what they say and your life would never remain the same. You'll be inspired by Gods love and become even more motivated to take the gospel everywhere you go.

Kindly list out the job of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus told us in John 14:26 AMP

That is counsel... one of His jobs.

what now happens if i fornicates? He convicts me? ...Guess who is my defense counsel? Jesus... How canthese two be fighting on whether I am guilty or not? Jesus made us UNBLAMEABLE, because we have God's righteousness by Him... When I sin, bible says

1 John 2:1King James Version (KJV)
2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

His bloood speaks mercy, and the Father forgives, if we ask for forgiveness... but it's babes in Christ that sin willingly.. that's why John said "my little children".

How can the Holy Spirit convict God's children of sin after Jesus called us brethren already? How did we now become sinners, after we're born again?

The Holy Spirit CONVICTS THE WORLD of sin... not God's kids.

What you said above is His job too, HE bring us to repentance... not conviction.

I hope you understand these.. they are hard meat sha.... not for babes
Thank you abeg brother Gombs.

Can you imagine what anyone means when they say the Holy Spirit convicts christians?

Oboye!

To convict means to find and declare someone guilty!

After Jesus has rendered us blameless and holy and unreproveable in God's sight, how can the Spirit of God find us guilty once again?

Jesus said that the Spirit will not speak of himself, but he will speak whatsoever he hears Jesus say! He will glorify Jesus, and receive of Jesus to show unto us! Glory to God! (John 16:13-15)

Jesus has made us righteous, justified. He cannot speak conviction against his beloved, unless we cease to be his beloved.

Hello bro!.. i see you never seem to stop calling preachers names... majorly because they don't subscribe to your kind of Christianity. In avoidance of doubts, let me put these two in context.

Jesus said
John 16:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

get other translations for simpler rendering.

Joseph Prince made a bold statement in his book:

“The bottom line is that the Holy Spirit never convicts you of your sins. He NEVER comes to point out your faults. I challenge you to find a scripture in the Bible that tells you that the Holy Spirit has come to convict you of your sins. You won’t find any.”
(Page 134-135, Destined to Reign)

Joseph and Jesus are saying the same thing, For the Holy Spirit DOES NOT convicts Christians of their sins, for that wasn't one of His job description as seen John 14:26 AMP

But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

Pastor Prince even made it better for you Ola, He challenged you to find a scripture that says otherwise... until then, I and the hosts of Heaven will just be watching you in utter dismay.

Where you modern day preachers get it wrong is that you call your sins mistakes or faults. When the Holy Spirit points out your sins it for you to repent.

"Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent" (Revelation 2:5).

Ananias and saphira were believers. Herod wasn't. I believe God was protecting the infancy stage of the church that's why the Judgement came. Paul said you can deliver such one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh in order to save his spirit.
