The Kano State House of Assembly on Thursday removed its chief whip, Zubairu Mamuda, for recognizing the immediate- past governor of the state, Rabiu Kwankwaso, as the state leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC. Mr. Mamuda represents Madobi constituency, where the former governor hails from. The impeachment followed a motion moved by a member representing Nassarawa Local Government Area, Ibrahim Gama, on the floor of the house. Mr. Gama, alias Lugard, argued that the removal of the chief whip had become imperative in view of the legislator’s disloyalty to the governor, Abdullahi Ganduje. The house unanimously adopted the motion and immediately removed Mr. Mamuda. The members then replaced Mr. Mamuda with Labaran Madari, a member representing Warawa constituency. Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES after the sitting, the chairman, House Committee on Information, Salisu Ibrahim, justified the removal, saying it was carried out within the purview of the law. He added that APC constitution is clear on who is the leader of the party in a state. Mr. Ibrahim explained the party constitution says the governor is the party leader, except where opposition party is in government. Ganduje is more heartful than kwankwaso, at least he is remembering sabon gari people, work is going on at court road in sabon gari. But kwankwaso was busy fighting them out of trbalism and envy, exhibiting discrimination and prejudice against the non Hausas in kano at the same time planning to rule the whole Nigeria. OKDnigeria: These people should come to Kwara and find out how they run things. The puppet governor, Fatah Ahmed, dare not call himself leader of APC in the state. If he tries it, his impeachment letter will be waiting on his table the next morning. Bukola saraki will make sure he is politically terminated in the state. They can also make a detour to Lagos and ask tinubu/fashola/ambode how they run things. |

Politicians don't learn. When Obj put Yar'adua thinking he can remote control him. It backfired. When Obong Victor Attah forced his way to install Akpabio his in law on Akwa ibom, the two didn't see eye to eye for 8 yrs. When Asiwaju denied his political godsons like Afikuyomi, Jim Agbaje etc to install an unknown Fashola, they parted ways somewhere along the line. When George Akume rigged his predecessor into office, little did he know that the same gentle eyed Suswam will kick him out of PDP. When Ameachi forced his Chief of Staff Wike on GEJ to be made minister so as to have his eyes in Aso rock, no one including myself would believe that the same Wike would cause him to pack into APC. So I laughed when Kwankwaso decided to make his deputy who was as a father to replace him. I knew that the was going to be fire on the mountain |
