I've had that experience when I was 18.

I was pretty new in the neighbourhood and had no friends so while hanging out in the evening, this girl who lives across the street approached me and said something that sounded like she asked me out.

Too bad I'd noticed her before then and didn't like her that much so I turned it down and she moved on.

Lesson is: asking a guy out is a risky venture and if it's ever gonna work out, just be sure the attraction is mutual. I for one don't subscribe to pushing on someone who's feelings for you is not mutual. Pretty much

Not true. I've been asked out by a few girls and I always have a different level of respect for them if they've got a good attitude and are not hoes.
I take them to be more real and expressive than the fake ones who play games when you ask them out even though they really want you.
But my advice to ladies is never ask a furkboy out.
